“Canadian Rockies Trip”

The food was very good and the service was attentive and offered great recommendations on the menu. My wife ordered a glass of wine that did not quite taste right and there was no hesitation about replacing it.

“A True Dining Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014

We decided to do the Chef's Tasting and what an experience it was. Expensive, but for an eight course meal with some incredible dishes it was a true once in a lifetime dining experience. Venison, Bison and fresh locally grown vegetables were just part of the experience. And they torch the Creme Brulee table side.

“Perfection”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2014

We had the chance to dine here just at few days ago. We greeted and promptly seated. We had the choice to sit in front of the fireplace or piano. We chose piano.. Dining first class, and a piano concert all in one- yes please!!
We were very happy with our every single bite of food we ate.
We shared the crab cake appetizer. Hubby had the ribeye, and I had the bison tenderloin. Shared sides were potatoes au gratin and spring veggies. DELISH!! The potatoes were my fave. They tasted likes they had a hint of Rosemary and I love that spice. Great to accompany my bison with au jus. Since it was our anniversary, we were given a tray of delicious chocolate covered strawberries and truffles. Although incredibly full, we decided to have more dessert. We had the sticky toffee pudding and cheesecake. Both amazing. The toffee pudding is a must have. Perfect little size and packed with so much flavour.
Kayla our wonderful server made the night even more enjoyable. She was prompt, attentive and extremely humorous. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect dining experience. Thanks Kayla

“Lovely evening”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2014 via mobile

We visited the Moose's Nook while staying at the Jasper Park Lodge. We were seated at a lovely table next to the piano so we had great entertainment all night. We each ordered the same starter and main so we only tried two menu items but our salads were great. We each ordered beef tenderloins medium but they came out medium well. I typically order medium knowing it comes out medium rare but this was the first time I've ever had tenderloin overlooked. It was still a nice steak but for $50 a steak + a la carte sides, the steak should be cooked pretty near perfect. Definitely mixed feelings on this one as the room and menu are lovely but it falls short in comparison to the other outstanding Fairmont dining rooms of similar price.

“Mindblowingly excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2014

This has to be one of the best meals in my life! We are on a tour of West Canada staying in mainly Fairmont Hotels. We thought the Wildflower Restaurant at Whistler was fantastic, but this place is unbelievable. The presentation, innovation, flavour and size of meal were all outstanding and included Canadian Regional produce (I had bison). One not to miss!
