Bjorns Beds is in an excellent location and is just a couple of blocks walk to downtown. It is exceptionally clean and comfortable for a moderately priced b & b. Herb and Anita were welcoming. We hope to return and we heartily recommend.

We went for the most affordable place possible at that busy time of the year and got a 2 nights stay for $90 a night on week days. Already satisfied just with this price!

Weird thing in Jasper in general though, B&B have no breakfast!? In an other way, it was just perfect for us as we wanted to control our schedule and hike as much as we could. They had coffee-tea-hot chocolate-snack bars-pop corn... Available for their guests in the common room. We, as guests, have all the basement so private entrance, something that I personally like very much.

Maligne room has its own bathroom with shower, another important criteria for me. We saw our host 5 minutes overall and they seem to be really nice people. Easy check in/out, everything is simple and we felt very independent, a good point for those B&B in Jasper (that should be called "Beds" like the sign we saw at this one!).

Bed was so comfortable, another positive thing there. Suggestion: They should add shampoo and an extra set of towels for guests.

We stayed here for three nights. The accommodation is lovely and nicely located. Out of downtown, but not too far. Both Herb & Anita are nice people to chat with. They can give you some tips on what to see in Jasper. Since we were 3 couples, we had the entire basement to ourselves. The rooms are too good, with comfortable beds, and the common area is well stocked with items for breakfast. It was a bit cold in the evenings & night and the heater in the common area served us well.

The owners, Herb & Anita cleaned up & tidied the common area when we were out during the day. The small library in the lounge is a topping, from where you can pick up a book and relax to read.

We stayed at Bjorn Beds in Jasper for two nights.

The B+B was nice with a good location in town. The room and facilities were good and the communal area adequate. However, fresh or UHT milk would have been better than the coffee whitener provided.

Lovely accomodation about 5-10mins walk into town. We had the room in the basement with on-suite, not huge but very well furnished and decorated and spotlessly clean. Hosts Herb and Anita made us feel very welcome, friendly and offered plenty of good advice and left some snacks etc for our use. There was a communal living area with fridge and microwave which we shared with another family which was not a problem. Again nicely furnished. Overall woudl seriously recommend and a much better experience than potentially other much more expensive accommodation.

Anita has done a great job making this a comfortable and enjoyable lodging. The location is great too near the center of town. It's like you moved into the neighborhood amonst friends. Clean as a whistle and nicely decorated. Tasty snacks and beverages are supplied for your pleasure. Thanks for a great stay...Carl and Jay

I stayed 5 nights in Jasper in June 2008, arriving and departing by rail, Via rail, The Canadian.

This is a very nice Home accomodation, located in a quiet area a 10 - 15 minutes walk from the Jasper train station.

The place has 3 rooms; sharing a common sitting area with microwave oven, fridge, coffee maker, cutlery etc,
and a bookshelf with some books and brochures about the area.

They do not serve breakfast. It seems most home accomodation in Jasper don't.
There are plenty of places to get breakfast only a few blocks away though, but it is also quite practical for supplying your own simple breakfast.

The guest rooms are in the basement of the house and have their own entrance.

The owners are nice and friendly.

The place is very conveniently located, only a few blocks from Jasper downtown, and about the
same distance to some of the local trails on Pyramid bench.

The room was large, nicely decorated, and very well equipped, they really have thought about all the details.

Comfortable chair in the room to sit and read etc.
Plenty of drawers and hooks on the wall, to put away your stuff, instead of having to store it on the floor or putting it back into your luggage which is the case in many B&Bs and hotels.
A calendar in the room. Very thoughful because one tends to
loose track of the days when travelling.

Extremely comfortable bed.

The arrangement with the nice large room and the common sitting area makes it possible to have some privacy, and still have the possibility to meet the other travellers staying in the other rooms. Very nice for the solo traveller.

I really liked this place. It was a nice base for me while staying in Jasper.

  • Liked — The arrangement with the shared sitting area.
  • Disliked — The basement windows close to the ceiling. You cannot see the outdoors.
