5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2005

My husband and I spent a delightful 3 nights at Wyndswept in mid-October last year. We were on the tail-end of a trip to the Rockies, having travelled from Australia to attend a conference in Vancouver. We could not have asked for a better place to stay in the Jasper area. Glenda and Bob were wonderful hosts.

Our first night was in the Pansy room, which was very comfortable and beautifully furnished. The following 2 nights were spent in the Wildflower Suite, which is a real home-away-from-home. What made the Wildflower suite really special was that it was possible to prepare a home-cooked meal in the self-contained kitchen, a feature that was particularly appreciated after spending most of our time in places without those sorts of home comfort facilities. The breakfasts were amazing, and beautifully prepared by the lovely Eileen. Being from Aussie-land, we were hanging out for some snow, and lo and behold, on our last day, we awoke to a white winter wonderland, which made our stay just perfect. Thank you, Glenda and Bob for a wonderful experience. We hope to return one day.

We stayed at Wyndswept for 5 nights in January for a little time alone after spending the holidays with family. We were tired, the weather was very cold, and snow fell every day, which made staying in a pleasant place even more of a necessity than in the summer. Glenda and Bob provided a warm, relaxed environment and they were funny, generous, and friendly. We stayed in the Wildflower suite in the downstairs of the house--spacious, comfortable and private; just what we needed. Other reviewers have mentioned the amenities in the suite as well as the lovely views. Breakfasts were ample and tailored to our preferences. We have been B&B phobic and this was our first stay at one so we don't have a basis of comparison, but we were very happy with the experience.

One of our best B&B experiences has been at Wyndswept. We were made to feel at home by Glenda, who regaled us with stories while serving up sumptuous breakfasts. Personalized itineraries were then discussed, supplemented by a pack of bird and animal books and cake to keep us going during the day.
Ours was a memorable stay and one that we hope to repeat.

Stayed two nights - 20 & 21 Sept 2004. This is a great place to stay. Everything (location, information, hostess, food and room) were special. Highly recommended. Warm welcome from Glenda and great breakfasts from Irene. Do try the Folding Mountain restaurant at the foot of the approach road, it is really very good and excellent value.
