This has been the 2nd year I have stayed at Sunwapta Falls, making it about 7 days in total over that time. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel welcome and the front desk was very efficient at booking us in. We had a Hideaway room which has a huge stone fireplace for those cold nights and the staff would come and light it for you if you wanted. The restaurant was wonderful, the menus varied and whilst not being the cheapest, the food quality was well worth it. The staff, even when busy, make time to chat with you and bend over backwards to make sure all your needs are catered for. There is a lovely gift shop on site with loads of choice for gifts to take home (or just for yourself!!) All the rooms were clean with tea/coffee fridge etc. The resort is quiet and perfect for a romantic getaway or if you're looking for some rustic charm! We love it here and will definitely stay again if we go back to canada.

The rooms of this hotel are rather basic, but given its remote location this is no big deal. The staff is very friendly and upgraded us to a larger room, since we were travelling with two kids. The hotel is located just near the icefield parkway, offering lots of possibilities to enjoy this beautiful area. The Sunwapta falls itself are located a couple of hundred meters from the hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay, and the dinner was excellent. Very courteous staff and a fantastic location on the icefields parkway.

This resort is well worth staying at. It's not in any major town but is within 100klms of many major tourist sites such as Jasper, Athabasca glacier, athabasca falls and Edith Cavill walk (angel glacier). It's called a resort but that is probably not very accurate. The accommodation we had was a cabin which although basic was big enough and quite comfortable. They also had a fireplace in each cabin which was a nice touch.

The big bonus of this place is the convenience to lots of siteseeing but it is in the middle of nowhere so there is no nightlife or pub to go to which suited us but may not suit everyone but was fine with us. Because it is in the middle of nowhere , the resort provides a restaurant to eat at. The food is pretty much gourmet food and the is actually really good and quite a reasonable price. We had a couple of really good meals there.

Didnt expect such a dump for the price, then to pay so much for food at the only restaurant so far from Jasper. I cant believe why so many recommended this trailerpark with hard beds, so far from town. Tripadvisor, please review, the ratings may be rigged (like digg).

This is my first review after using tripadvisor to help with many of my stays.
First off this "resort" is not rustic it's just old (1960s build with no updating). Our room was a hideaway room with a fireplace. It was very clean but very small and the atmosphere of the room was as if I was staying in an ATCO trailer. It is not worth the $210/night they were asking for and still not worth the $150/night we paid. If you want a rustic hotel stay at Num-ti-jah Lodge, it's way better.
The "fine dining" offered was average. I had the Elk Ragout and my wife had the Salmon. Both of them were fine but not out of the ordinary. Since the resort is 50 kms from Jasper it is the only place to eat. Entrees are all around $30.
There is no pool or hot tub and I am not sure why they call this a resort.
Overall we did not enjoy our stay. I felt like this place was trying to be something more than it is. It is a 2 star hotel and only worth around $100/night not $210.
