The Outback Steakhouse at 12832 137 Ave. Edmonton Alberta.
Thought the food was very expensive for what you get.
When our meals first came we sat there without any silverware for a few minutes, no big deal but while we waited I looked across the table at my son's $13.95 hamburger. I wanted to see what kind of hamburger costs $13.95 and believe me when I say it was nothing special. Just a burger and fries that's it. Not even a fancy bun. I wondered to myself if they had bought the buns at the Safeway around the corner because that is what it looked like. My meal was $23.00 for steak, scallop and shrimp. Sounds good but the steak was the size of my cell phone and the two small shrimp and two small scallops just did not cut it for me. Good thing they piled on some rice with it. Hey, the rice was good. This particular Outback does not have the interior of a fine dinning retaurant and it is more like a grade or two above a mess hall. Just one big room with a few dividers. A little loud. Although their prices may be more like a fine restaurant I just was not impressed. The topper for me was the coffee at $2.75 a cup, come on, no thanks. My impression is that this restaurant is all about the money and not the food.
Sorry but I will not be going outback again.
