Description: CHOP Steakhouse & Bar is located on Ellerslie Road, just a few minutes south from South Edmonton Common and Southgate Shopping centre. CHOP is attached to the upscale Sandman Signature Hotel, just off of Calgary Trail. A MOMENT AWAY FROM THE USUAL STEAKHOUSE. At Chop we bring together all the elements that discerning guests love about wine and food and combine them with energy, style and value. For the steak lover, Chop steaks are aged a minimum of 28 days and cooked in a specially designed oven that cooks at 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit for incredible flavor. If your preference is seafood, we have a fantastic selection of fish dishes complimented with sensational sauces and sides. Fresh baked Winnipeg rye bread and delightful desserts, like our signature Fallen Chocolate Souffle Cake, are created by our baker daily. Our extensive wine list is assembled by sommelier Kim Spence and has something for every palate, ranging from elegant white wines to fruit forward reds.

“Dine & Wine in style!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

The Chop Steakhouse in south Edmonton (Ellerslie) has a wonderful ambiance that is both inviting and stylish.
Right from entering the well designed restaurant we were greeted by friendly staff who made us feel comfortable in a fun and cool way. The servers were professional and friendly. Even the manager stopped by to extend his greeting to us and to ensure everything is to our liking... and it was.
The steak bites appetizer and steak entree were amazing, but I guess that should be expected at a steakhouse. - Well, I've been patron to the competition in south Edmonton, (Keg, Moxies, Joeys, Earls, Montana's, and Milestones), and have got to admit that Chop is the best when it comes to steak.
I do adore the prime rib at the Keg, however they are only open for dinner whereas Chop is open for lunch too.
See you soon again Chop!

“Happening place with great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

I took 10 adults to the Chop House for supper. The servce was excellent, the food was wonderful (they had a special on 18 oz steaks that were to die for) and we all had a great evening there. I wil be back! (though will probably order a smaller steak, could not finish that one!)

“Wow what a lucky find.....!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

I landed in Edmonton at the nearby four Points Sheraton and since I do not ever care to drive in a strange city to dinner when I want to drink, the walking distance was great.

The atmosphere here is wonderful. Wait staff ladies are in very nice cocktail dresses. Very upscale. I wish I had this place in my neighborhood in Nebraska.

I went here both nights for dinner while in Alberta, Eh!

I can highly recommend it to the single business traveler.

We took our daughter there for her birthday on the weekend and we had a great experience. We had some great food and the atmosphere was wonderful. The service was very prompt and the food was yummy! I would go there again.

“A restaurant with a lot of class”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

This restaurant is worth to visit. If you are travelling on your own of with colleagues or family, this is a different type of (sports)bar. The waitresses are well selected and dressed as if they are visiting a cocktail party. Impressive.Food is little better than what you can expect from a Steakhouse/Bar. The wine list is very nice but could increase your bill fast. Certainly a place tot visit when staying in hotels around this area close to the airport of Edmonton.
