“State of disrepair and misrepresentation”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

Where to begin...
1) Booked a non-smoking room online, but was given a smoking room. After insisting they change rooms or find me another hotel I was moved to a non-smoking room.
2) Carpet on stairs was half-removed but the edges were still ragged and easy to trip on
3) On the second evening we came back to find the carpet had been completely ripped off the stairs, but the base had not and was uneven and a huge hazard
4) The crowbar left in the middle of the staircase was a bit concerning
5) The caution tape draped over the door at the top of the stairs was definitely concerning
6) The two gaping holes in the hallway ceiling full of either black mold or had been burnt out
7) The included continental breakfast is coffee/tea with a choice of toast or an english muffin. Or a $5 off voucher for a meal over $12.
8) I'm 5'4" and my feet hung over the double bed.
9) One would think that with the CFR in town and the hotels city-wide being so busy that they would have ensured screws weren't left all over the floor at the base of the stairs, the caution tape wasn't haphazardly strewn across doors and the ceiling wasn't gaping open.

I will not be staying at a Travelodge again. Please look at photos to see this isn't just sour grapes.

This hotel could be nicer by changing all the ac units in all the rooms, we had to change rooms because of the noise level from the ac. The few people we talk to had the same problem. On positive note, breakfast was good and they have a nice pool.

We booked two non-smoking rooms in what turned out to be a hotel filled with chain smokers. There were huge stains on the rugs. I think the hotel rooms were originally white but are now stained yellow nicotine. If you are a chain smoker and don't mind stained, barely, cleaned rooms then this is the destination for you aslong as you want to be in the middle of nowhere. The crowd hanging around the motel is of a different class, but then again a great place to take kids so they know why to stay in school. The word terrible does not sum up my stay here at this inn. Although my air conditioner did work it does nothing for the smell that would nauseate a mortician. Apparently we are not trustworthy enough to have an opening window to eleveate the unbearable stench. I am however pleasantly surprised that none of the items were screwed down. They were even nice enough to give us a five dollar voucher to their restaurant in the morning instead of the complimentary breakfast mentioned online. I'm not sure which would be worse, the sad, scarce, smoke-ridden complimentary breakfast or the five dollar voucher that only worked between 8-10 and was for meals 12$ and up.
