I booked this hotel for our 10th anniversary. They had a special which included dinner at the revolving restaurant. We did some shopping and were running a little behind for our 6pm reservation. We pulled up to the valet parking. The bellman watched us pull up from behind the first pair of glass doors then turned and walked into the hotel. I usually don't like using valet but since we had our shopping bags plus our luggage I thought it would be better. I parked and we carried all of our bags (right past the bellman) to the front desk.
As I was checking in, I mentioned to the attendant we were late for the dinner reservation. He looked at his watch and said verbatim, "Yup, you're late." I don't like being late so I'm sure I was anxious which compounded the problem. I figured I should speak to the manager when I noticed the manager's nameplate on the guy checking us in!
Our room didn't contain the chocolate covered strawberries as requested or the bubbly but we were late for dinner. After dinner, we didn't fuss this since we were completely stuffed.
We had a wonderful meal at the restaurant with outstanding service.
The room itself was: beautiful, big, well-decorated with nice view. The bed was super comfy.
Breakfast room service was 45+ minutes complete with warm coffee and luke-warm food. Food did taste good though.
I did write the manager and they offered us a free Sunday lunch which we never took advantage of. So at least they did make an attempt. No matter how you slice it, the service level at this hotel is NOT 4 star.
