It is not starting well, problems at front desk on check in. Hotel under construction. Have to park In back alley, no where to park to check in. Staff don't get the concept of a persons time. Does not seem very clean on first impression. Checkout the dust on woodwork behind front desk. More later.

When I booked the hotel on Hotels.com I forgot to ask weather we could have a cot in our room as there was 5 of us in one room. Hotels.com called and made the arrangements but told us there would be a $20 fee, which is acceptable. When we arrived the guy at the front desk immediately told me our needs could not be met with an extremely rude tone. Eventually we dealt with someone else who said they would allow it just this one time. We checked in around 4:30 pm and didn't receive the cot until 2am when we returned back from a concert even though they said it would be right up. Not only that but we arrived to our room to catch a security guard coming out of our room!!! We couldn't believe it. He said the door was opened so he just pushed it to check to see if everything was okay. We double checked to see if the door would have caught on something but there was no way it was true. We were totally shocked, then we called for the cot we had been waiting to receive. We then told the front desk lady who shortly came to our room with the security guard who said he had been checking for a leak. It was very odd he changed his story. The way I see it is leak or no leak if the room needs to be checked WE should be notified. Also, why does a security guard have a key to every single room in the hotel? Thankfully we weren't missing anything but the situation was completely abnormal. The next morning the manager (who we waited 20 mins for) apologized and reversed the cot and parking charges. Then of course tried to tell us to contact him next time we book a stay. No thank you!

We stayed here and wished we hadn't. Outdated hotel with staff to match. We had a charging issue that three separate reception staff gave us a different story which really soured our stay. Really disappointing. Location is in the centre of Edmonton and that is the only positive we had.

Room Tip: Wifi has a data cap. Restaurant and breakfast okay. Rooms relatively quiet.

Good size rooms with very small bathrooms. Both bedrooms and bathrooms in desperate need of redecoration and updating. Looking quite ratty now. Rooms were clean. Restaurant on ground floor for breakfast but quite expensive for what was provided. The restaurant staff were surly and not at all helpful or attentive. Car park at hotel but quiet pricey. Would say this was 3 star or below. Location was the only thing thus hotel had going for it.

We all know how the saying goes. For the price this hotel is really not worth it. It seems like changing the carpet is all this hotel thought they had to do to update the look. The bath tub had multiple chips. The bathroom floors have stains that can't be removed. The windows have black sludge running down them ( they are changing out windows). We were in town to run in the Edmonton marathon and when we went back to the room to shower after running housekeeping had already cleaned the room and said we couldn't go in. Checkout was 2 hours later. Needless to say we went in regardless. I am certain other hotels in the area would be far better for value.

Dear Guest,
Congratulations for completing the Edmonton Marathon!
Our apologies for the confusion on your room being cleaned before your check out. We will review our process with our team to ensure that does not happen again.
The hotel is undergoing a 10 million dollar refurbishment and to date have completed five floors of Concierge guest rooms, full ballroom, La Ronde, and both banquet and lobby washrooms. Our Traditional rooms including bathtubs are in process and we anticipate completion over the next year.
Thank you for your valuable feedback.
Yours in hospitality,

I stayed 4 5 days in best value room on 11th floor. I really had great view of Edmonton! Staff was friendly & helpful. Great downtown location! Room was clean, u will hear other people coming & going, since room doors make lots of noise.I didn't have breakfast included, I wondered if I could pay 4 breakfast, yes u can 4 $20 + tax, which I found 2 much 4 eggs:). There is restaurant on 24th floor, which is turning so u can have a great dining experience & food is great! It is again on higher $$$. Overall if I can get great price on room, I will comeback. If u r spending $180-$200 a room, u can find better quality somewhere else.

Room Tip: Ask 4 room as high as u can 4 spectacular view!!

We were a group of 24 in Edmonton for Dragon Boat festival at Louise McKinney Park, 20 minute walk; excellent buffet breakfast included; comfortable beds; nice views from rooms; luggage storage before and after regular check in times; good downtown location; a number of restaurants within walking distance; good price; VERY accommodating staff.
