“Surprisingly quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

Last time I visited the West Edmonton mall I found the noise from the fountains very distracting but on this visit it was much quieter. We did not intend to visit the mall but after a day of travelling our grandchildren had energy to burn off so a trip to Galaxy Land was ideal.

“Okay just the parking is enough to drive a person nuts”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

Too big, no parking, everything is overpriced, too many people. If you are from the edmonton area you will probably avoid it like the plague.

“For Those Who Like Shopping, Rollercoasters and Everything In Between”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

Just spent a day and a half at West Edmonton Mall with my wife and family. The mall is large but not unmanageble. There are major department stores as well as smaller boutiuqe shops that you've probably never heard of but offer an ecclectic mix of wares. West Ed Mall literally offers the most retail shops and entertainment in one place that I've ever seen.Where else can you purchase a pair of shoes, a broadsword and watch a sea lion show in the morning and ride a rollercoaster and go ice skating in the afternoon.

There are multiple parking lots with easy access to the mall (remember your exit #) and wheel chair access to all floors. Bathrooms are just about everywhere and you have your choice of fast food fare or fine dining all in one location. Make sure to grab a map once inside the mall, it will come in handy and cut down on the aimless wandering when searching for a specific shop.

“Dream shopping paradise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

If you love to shop till you drop, WEM is a must do. Hundreds of stores, food ops, attractions compacted into one giant, indoor facility. Tons for the kids to do (Galaxy land) and you even have a choice of hotels (one attached, other across the street). Some examples of entertainment include; movie theaters, fun park, water park, comedy club and the list goes on. Worth a trip to the Capital city to see this mega mall. Love it, love it!

“Every thing you need”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

All the major department stores were under one roof. Great restaurants. Wonderful spa. One thing I didn't like was that there were no carts or trollys to use for carrying your purchases. When i go to this mall I go to shop so after a while you are carrying a bunch of bags and it gets heavy, even if they had a locker that the customers could rent for the day would be great.
