Owner description: The Mayfield Dinner Theatre has a longstanding reputation as Canada’s number one dinner theatre and offers Broadway hits and the most spectacular buffet in Edmonton. Canada’s number one dinner theatre recently completed a $2.5 million facelift. Sure to delight the many loyal patrons of the theatre, the renovation includes acoustic and lighting improvements as well as an expanded culinary program. Thanks to this extensive renovation project, show-goers will be welcomed with a new entrance and lobby as well as layout and technical changes to improve the overall guest experience. Under the direction of Executive Chef Joe Kennedy, the theatre’s culinary program was also included in the up-grade with a new and improved salad and seafood bar, a beef carving station and additional hot entrees and desserts. We look forward to welcoming you!

“Great production - terrible food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

We went and saw Buddy Holly on January 6 and the show was excellent. However the only good thing on the buffet was the roast beef. Mashed potatoes sure tasted like instant to me. The buffet used to be so good but it seems since they renovated the food quality and variety has gone downhill. Also, we ate at 6:30 and you wouldn't think that they would run out of certain items but they seemed to have a problem replenishing items. I rate the show a 5 but the food is a 1.

“away from the every day norm”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

A way to spend a good night with family, friends food is always wonderful and I like the way the set up is for the buffet. Shows are good as is the table service for beverages even if just water, tea or coffee you want.

“Buddy Holly Story”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

As always -- a delicious buffet and great eveing of entertainment. This story was a different perspective to the Buddy Holly story they had there about 3 years ago. The talent was again remarkable.

“Same as always”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

I haven't been to the Mayfield in years but had the chance to take in a show as part of a Christmas party. The 'Buddy Holly Story' was good - no complaints about the show. I was a bit disappointed in their breakfast buffet. It seemed a little disjointed in the set up and hard to find specific items. And while I understand the breakfast lasts for a couple of hours, I was quite surprised how dry the french toast was, it seemed like it had been sitting out for quite a while. Our waitress asked if anyone would like coffee but would usually walk away too quickly before one could ask for a tea or something. I will go again, once another show comes up that might interest me.

“Multiple Locations throughout the neighbourhood!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012

While I've honestly never attended the Mayfield Inn's dinner theatre, having grown up nearby I can tell you that there are sure to be entertaining characters no matter where you should choose to dine in this area of the city. Head down to Stony Plain Road. Grab a plate of pancakes at the Smittys, and before long, I can guarantee, some character will begin some kind of one-act play.
