“Great assortment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

Usually head to Globefish for lunch, best to arrive around 11:30 as this little restaurant can get busy and noisy. They have a great selection on their menu, service is attentive. Very small wine selection. You can't go wrong with their sashimi selection, it's a bit pricy but you get a lot. We enjoy the spicy agedashi tofu is one of the best in town, not heavily deep fried. Sometimes you can't get fresh oysters as there not available? Tuna tataki salad is alway fresh and great. Beef udon soup is a disappointment, have tried it several times and find the beef chewy and in large pieces. The dishes are always presented well, just like you expect "art" to be done. Food is always consistent. Not the best sushi, but certainly enough on the menu for a first timer to try something a bit more challenging!

“Wonderful food, great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

Great food, excellent vegetarian selection. Pleasant restaurant, clean, relatively quiet. The food presentation is wonderful and the food itself is fresh and oh so tasty. Highly recommend to vegetarians and non-vegetarians. To reiterate - can't say enough about the presentation and freshness. Some unique (to me) menu items.

“Best Sushi in Calgary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

I have tried numerous places in Calgary for sushi and this is by far the best. I just keep going back and it is always amazing. The fish is fresh and melts in your mouth and they have the most unique rolls. I suggest the Spicy Tuna Sashimi, Happy Crunch Roll, Crazy Buster Roll, God of Fire Roll, Hamachi Jalapeno Sashimi, Toro Sushi, Salmon Sushi and Tuna Sushi. Of course everything else on the menu is awesome too! I just love this place. Yum Globefish.

“Fresh food in the heart of cow town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013 via mobile

I am an avid sushi lover and do not shy away from the unusual. I enjoy Globefish as it is always finding new ways to add another level of flavour to its dishes. Like the last time I was there and found a loaded roll which included a strawberry coulis drizzled on top.
My date found a small piece of plastic in one of the California rolls and they immediately took 30% off of the bill and the kitchen staff gave us each free dessert. That is what I call excellent service.
I return here about every 4 to 6 months just to see if anything is new....my suggestion if you are not an avid sushi lover or have never even tried it.....give me a shout and I would love to show you what you may be missing. It is not all raw fish and the Rock shrimp appetizer is well worth the trip on its own! 12taf12@gmail.com

“Not the best”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

Over-priced, mediocre sushi. El's across the street is way more exciting and tasty, but lacks the atmosphere of Globefish. I just don't think the sushi is worth the price and wait.
