“Loved the food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2012

I was so excited about finding this place that I kept coming three days in a row with different friends! Anyway, I think I tried all the currries in the menu by now. My favorite is the green curry (with any meat) - it's just fabulous with rice. Btw, while coconut rice sounds delicious and appropriate, plain rice would be a wiser choice - the curries are very rich with coconut milk already - so don't overdose. Besides, the coconut milk was added to the rice after it's cooked, so sometimes I found them a bit much...

My favorites are: the green curry, panang curry (try the vegetarian one - it's heavenly!), Matsaman curry (sweet & delicious) and the seafood with basil. I don't care much for the red and yellow curry - it's just fine. If you don't like the wait, have it for pick-up and cook your own rice :-) The portions are great - 4 people can safely share 3 curry dishes - and for some, there'll still be some leftovers.

“Excellent food and service.”

A great place for amazing Thai food. A little hard to get to but worth the trouble. Lots of parking space. Building used to be a burger king but has been renovated extensively.

“A tropical lunch-time break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

Four of us escaped from early winter and took a brief break in the tropics at Juree's Thai Place Restaurant. As soon as we stepped through the door, we enjoyed the warmth, lush ambience, and enticing aromas of spices and good food wafting from the kitchen.

The extensive menu offers many choices of appetizer, soup, curry, stir-fry, vegetarian, fish, noodles, and rice. Complete meals for 2, 3, or 4 are also available at various price points. We decided to order one entree each and share all four dishes for maximum taste variety. We were also able to select a mild, medium or hot spice level for each dish. The coconut rice provided a tasty base for all the dishes. All our selections came out from the kitchen piping hot and loaded with colourful vegetables as well as the selected meats. The curries are served in bowls with a generous amount of fairly-thin sauce, while stir-frys and noodle dishes have a thicker consistency. Perhaps our favorite overall was Rice Noodles with Prawns.

None of us had room to contemplate dessert, and in fact there were enough leftovers to take a big plateful home for one lucky non-attendee. Prices are very reasonable for the quantity and quality of food. We will definitely be back, perhaps to try the lunch buffet which was not on offer the day we were there.

Tip: Table 15 is in a prime spot next to the window and separated from the main dining area by a screen.

“Great atmosphere and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

We came as a large group, over 20 of us and were seating in a private room which I liked. The menu was set in advance with various dishes to be shared by all. I liked there was a variety to meet the needs everyone; vegetarians, those who can't eat spicy foods, and lactose intolerant.

The first item to come out were salad rolls, although they may have a different name for them. It was rice paper wrapped around rice noodle, vegetables and shrimp, and served with peanut sauce and fish sauce. They were light and tasty with the peanut sauce. Next items included pad thai, curry with prawns, vegetarian curry, and another dish I can't recall. The coconut rice served was amazing and delicious. For dessert, ice cream was served.

The food came out consistently and there wasn't long waits in between dishes. The servers were accommodating to drink orders and additional requests for dishes. I was pleased with the whole experience and enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant as well.

“Excellent restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

We have been visiting this restaurant for many years. The tastes and presentation are the best we have experienced in this country or other countries. Fresh, well spiced dishes along with excellent service and server attentiveness.
