“Rouge provides gourmet cuisine at it's best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

Set off in a quite area of Calgary, nestled in gardens that grow much of the herbs and accoutrements..we had quite the wonderful experience. Perhaps the best salmon we ever had. The smoked pork chop first cooked "sous-vide" then grilled...outstanding. The angiolotti were delicious. Rouge has a wine list to serve all tastes and budgets...we did a Burrowing Owl vertical that was a credit to the British Columbia wine makers' expertise.
A must go to restaurant for an experience of cuisine prepared with love, passion ans attention to detail.
Bravo to the team at Rouge...we will be back...

“Nice Location and Nice Atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

I have been to the Rouge on several different occasions and each time the food and atmosphere have been good. It is interesting sitting in different rooms of the old house.

The food is made daily so it is always fresh, no freezer or box items. Very good

“Exciting, delicious dishes!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

I had a three course lunch meal to die for! Must have the salted caramel sticky toffee pudding - best dessert I have ever had in my life! Waiting staff were delightful and very informed - really enjoyable lunch for a special occasion. Try to get a table outside if its summer!

“Very NiceRestaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

Ate here just after Halibut came "in" for the season. The halibut was not as good as Oceana but the service, aminities and ambiance were excellent.

Would certainly try Rouge again for a quiet evening meal.

“Inglewood prime”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013 via mobile

We live in Ramsay, about four blocks from rouge. It is our go to for a nice night out. The last time we went we did the tasting menu, which was creative and excellent.
The place: beautiful historic home in Calgary, and yes historic is not that old in Calgary. A great spot non the less with plenty of charm. Tables are widely spaced, and the service is fantastic. For example, the second to last time we went to Rouge the server changed out the bottle of wine because it was slightly corked, which is not all that strange, but I had tried the wine, and I could not tell. After the server opened a new bottle he let me compare the wines both corked and uncorked, and sure enough the first bottle was not right.
The food: we typically do the tasting menu, which is usually focused on the season or holiday at hand. The portions are what you'd expect from a fine dining restaurant, but they always tend to be somewhat inventive, which I like.
