One cannot wish to have a better host than Glenn, owner and host of Tuxedo House. We spent one night late August 2012 and we were amazed at the attention to detail and eagerness to please on the part of Glenn. All questions were answered patiently and humorously! The B&B is like home from home and everything is meticulous and absolutely spotless. Even though guests have to share a bathroom, one did not get the impression anyone else were using the facilities despite all rooms fully booked on the night we stayed. Breakfast was amazing. A real feast blending fresh and home made cooking.

With Glen the landlord waiting on the porch as we arrived, my first impression of Canadian hospitality, fantastic!
We were shown to our room, which was a lovely cool basement flat, fully equipt and very comfortable.
Glen is a true gent and excellent host and he was very helpful with advise for the stampede etc. The bus for town is easily taken a stones throw from the B&B.
Breakfast surpassed our expectations, immaculately presented and scrumptious! We stayed for three nights and had a different b/fast each day.
Lovely garden to relax. Would highly recommend a stop here.

Room Tip: If the basement room(suite) is available, then book it if you need to cool down after a hot day in c...

Tuxedo House was the last stop in our journey from Vancouver, and we had a great time there. Glen was very accommodating about the time of arrival (what time do you want to get here?) and his welcome was very warm. Within minutes he had us laughing - he is witty and perceptive with a real talent for putting guests of all ages at ease.

We had a double room and a twin on the first floor. These share a beautifully appointed bathroom with another double, but this wasn't a problem because each of the rooms has a washbasin. There were nice touches like having a stock of bathmats so each guest could have their own. There was also a bright and airy sitting area on the same floor as the bedrooms, with a kitchenette for making drinks. Our bedrooms were furnished well, and the beds were extremely comfortable.

Our breakfast (juice, fresh fruit, cereals, scrambled eggs, toast and preserves) was served downstairs, and we were joined by Glen and his other guest. We stayed talking long after we had eaten - and he brought a smile to our faces once again.

This B&B is beautifully located in a peaceful neighborhood. The garden is nice and offers a great place to relax. The rooms I’ve seen are comfortable, clean and spacious and the beds are good. Apart from your own room and the garden, the house also offers a nice common room, with a comfy sofa.
Glen is an excellent host, who makes you feel welcome and can provide you with lots of tips and all the help you may wish. His breakfasts are simple but great and his homemade jam with fruit from his own garden is delicious.

When driving to the area beware of the low speed limits enforced by cameras. Also, you need a parking pass to park on the street. Glen provided that. Locally, we found plenty of local places to dine. Our room was clean and spacious. The shared bathroom was large and clean, too. Every morning Mr. Grey served us with a large hot breakfast. We would return.

We have just returned from staying 2 days at Tuxedo House B&B, and would highly recommend it for any type of traveler. Our family of 8 adults and 2 children were in the city to attend our son's wedding, which happened to be within walking distance of Tuxedo House. I had never stayed in a B&B, and couldn't imagine one accommodating us without being turned upside down. The location, however, was perfect, and my wife insisted I would have no regrets. She was right.
Glen, and his dog Missy, were the perfect hosts, making our group feel completely at ease, and even though he had another family of four staying in the house, everyone had their own space and we never felt intruded upon.

The rooms are tastefully decorated, spacious, and comfortable, with a nice common area to relax, visit, and have a cup of coffee or tea, if you so desire. The bathroom is shared, which was no problem for us, but each room is equipped with a sink and lots of towels, which really helped take the pressure off getting our crew ready for the wedding. Part of our group, with the two children, were in a lower level suite, which has kitchen facilities attached. We were responsible for some of the food preparation for the wedding, and Glen graciously offered the use of his kitchen utensils which allowed us to do the prep without interfering with activities at the wedding location. We really appreciated his willingness to help make our event as hassle free as possible.

The breakfasts were excellent, with a different menu each day, and enough variety to suit any appetite. Glen does all the cooking and food delivery to the table, and is very attentive to the needs of his guests, and is an overall great host.

As mentioned in previous reviews, the backyard is immaculate, and well laid out to accommodate several groups in their own space, and the front yard presents a welcoming curb appeal that can't be matched. Glen provides visitor permits for parking on the street, so you are always in front of the house, but he also has parking for extra vehicles at the rear as well.

The location is very central to downtown, close to transit and the main thoroughfares, and lots of great eating places, yet is quiet, without a lot of traffic noise. Overall, we were very impressed with the cleanliness, comfortable accommodations, good food, and above all, the hospitality we received at Tuxedo House B&B. Thanks Glen, for a great stay.

We stayed here in August '11 and experienced beauty and elegance at it's best! I fell in love with Glen's home and adore Glen too! He has a darling dog named Missy who just keeps to herself but loves to be petted! If you are looking for perfection in all ways...including the location...call the Tuxedo House B&B...you will love it!
Thank you Glen! We loved our stay and promise to be back again! Thank you for the wonderful breakfasts too!!!!

Room Tip: All his rooms are wonderful!
