My husband and I were looking for a takeout East Indian Restaurant close to home. We googled the Taj and the menu looked tasty. We ordered the butter chicken, the beef curry, and the shrimp curry dish, alongside naan bread and saffron rice. The dishes were about $13-15 each. In comparison to the to Karma and Green Chili restaurants, the portions are quite small for what we had paid! The butter chicken dish only had about 12-13 small chunks of chicken but was swimming in sauce. We were shocked when the shrimp dish still had on the tails. The food tasted great, but it would have been nice to have the aluminum dishes a bit fuller. The service was nice, but he reminded us after we paid how the website had a coupon. I told the server that the coupon stated it was only good Monday-Wednesday, but apparently they accept it at any time. Would have liked to have know this beforehand. Not sure I'd go back immediately for the a la cart dishes, but their butter chicken wrap at $5 seems like a good deal.
