“Beautiful, luscious chocolate!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

Nestled in a small shop on Stephen Avenue Mall, Coppeneur has become one of my favourite chocolate destinations in Calgary. Not a restaurant, but a wonderful chocolate shop that has a lovely assortment of both milk and dark chocolates, our family favourite being the approximately 400 gr. bar with 85% cacao from Ghana. Pure, smooth, deep chocolate delight. Specialty chocolates with a variety of flavours make shopping for a party dessert tray lots of fun. Many of the chocolates are Direct Trade and organic. It is easy to spend a pretty penny here, but these delectable treats are well worth the price. Helpful, knowledgeable service and wonderful products!

“High end chocolate, high end prices”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2014

This is a chocolate shop - not a restaurant - and a high end chocolate shop at that. You will find all kinds of premium chocolate which are country specific. The selection isn't enormous. I would suggest you try Choklat down in Bankers Hall or Inglewood for a more local spin on chocolate.

“Sweet little shop!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

Walking down Stephen Ave I came across this chocolate shop. There's lots of variety of chocolate for everyone and looking for a gift I was drawn to the nougat spreads. They had hazelnut, almond, and I think one that was a combination for the two. They price was $11 or $12 for a small jar. But it sounded so decadent that the receiver could enjoy it as a spread or even dip a finger into it!

A wonderful shop that you could treat yourself to something sweet.

“aMAZING cHOCOLATES”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

Great place for lots of options. Many of the chocolates and bars are organic. While it is a little more expensive than a Laura Secord or Purdy's, They are in a different league altogether; great quality, real chocolate and amazing choices and blends. Superb chocolate, lots of choice and it's not chain. You will likely be dealing with the owner directly, and that's a plus in any business. Give them a try, they have every price range starting at just under $3. If you give these chocs as a gift, the receiver will be most grateful! MmmMMmm!

“A great variety of unique, excellent chocolates, and great service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

I have been to this store a number of times now, and always leave with a tantalizing assortment of excellent quality, attractive chocolates for gifts and for myself. The last visit I bought Rose flavoured and Blueberry Jasmine chocolate bars, a dark ginger chocolate round that can be used to make hot chocolate or be grated onto desserts or ice cream or just be eaten like a chocolate bar. I also got a dark chocolate orange flavored one - delicious! Their packaging is beautiful, and their service is friendly and very knowledgable. I always feel appreciated as a customer there, and it is a favourite stop now for me...
