“Great Location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Great location downtown Calgary. Beautiful decor inside, and the rooms are beautiful and very clean. This hotel also has balconies in the rooms so you can actually go outside and see the beautiful views. We really wanted to have a drink at the Raw Bar but the night we were there they had a private function and we weren't allowed in..very disappointed. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I stayed at the Hotel Arts while attending a conference. It labels itself as a Boutique Hotel and it delivers. I usually stay at properties in well-known chains as previous experiences from independent hotels have been less than acceptable, but Hotel Arts made me change my mind.
Spaces are open and special, restaurants and bars are above the norm and the rooms are clean, ample and charming.
The exterior looks in need of some finishing touches.
The star missing is because the booking process (it was a group) was a bit convoluted and with more wrinkles than necessary. However, I will go and stay again in a heartbeat.

We had a large room with a lounge room etc . Good hotel , clean and well appointed . Can be a bit noisy and the rooms are quite warm ... Can't seem to cool them down . Don't get room 224 . It's right next to the gym and is quite noisy .
All in all a good hotel

Spent 5 days at Hotel Arts on business. This was a great place to stay - quiet, but central. I had a luxury room, so newly renovated and very nice. We ate many meals there as well as part of the meeting and the food was really good. Breakfasts in the restaurant were varied and also good. The fitness area is small, but adequate as there was never anyone else in there! Location is walking distance to centre, but the doorman also just drove me over a couple of times. Its an up and coming neighbourhood (at least when oil recovers) but felt very safe. I would definately stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the pool side (the main road on the other side can be a bit noisy)

This hotel is fantastic!!!!!! The beds are out of this world, I want one
For home! The location is great and convenient for a downtown stay. We didn't have any meals at the hotel but the restaurants were full. Would definitely stay here again!

I've stayed in lots of hotels in Calgary, none have the edge and style that I experienced at Hotel Arts. Funky lobby, great bar and restaurant and the rooms were designed with a modern edge. Everything about it made me forget I was on a business trip. Well Done.

Recently stayed in Hotel Arts during a business trip to Calgary. The hotel is centrally located, although a cab ride to decent restaurants and night life. The hotel room was spacious and looked to be recently refurbished. The only complaint was that the heating system was extremely loud when it kicked in. Also, you have to pay for WiFi, which always grates on me, particularly for a hotel that seems to attract business travelers.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post your review of Hotel Arts - word-of-mouth and feedback from frequent travelers allow us to continually grow our business and I truly appreciate your feedback. I apologize for the noise created by your heating unit - typically this is a quick fix by our maintenance department so I do recommend reporting such concerns. As for WiFi, we do have a frequent guest program in place that provides, amongst other benefits such as turndown service and bottled water, complimentary WiFi. With only 5 stays required on an annual basis, this is easily obtained for our corporate travelers. We do provide complimentary wired internet in our guest rooms, as well as complimentary WiFi in all public areas. I do hope that you will choose Hotel Arts when next your travels bring you back to Calgary!

Yours in Hospitality,

Werna Maurer
