“Calm place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2014

Nice to have quick getaway during the day, enjoy onset of spring or biking during the summer. Scenic hiking trails, the lampposts and benches give an old world charming feel.

“A Quiet Walk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2014

The close proximity to my accommodations made this a perfect place for an early morning walk. With only the sounds of nature about in the cool early morning, this was an ideal place to contemplate the coming day

“A True Treasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2014

I was lucky to have found Fish Creek Park almost as soon as I moved to Calgary. It truly is a treasure for the city.

It has kilometres of paved and non-paved trails for walking, biking, and hiking. It really is easy to believe you're in a vast wilderness and not in the middle of a huge city. It is my go to place for wilderness excercise when I am not able to head to the mountains. It's a great place to spend a few hours or the whole day. I've been using it for 15+ years and I still haven't been to all the places in the park. It's a great place for family activities or a place to go alone and forget about the hussle and bussle of the city for awhile.

I have been lucky enough to run into quite a bit of wildlife during my visits i.e. deer, beaver, ducks etc. While trail running one day I was swooped upon by a large bird that must have been protecting her nest. Ha!

Unfortunately I notice quite a bit of garbage and dog poop bags along the trails. I usually bring a grocery bag and pick up what I can while walking. I guess that's the negative price when the park is accessible to a lot of people.

“Nice in the City Biking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2014

The park has lots of trails for bike riding; paved and gravelled for general riding as well as single track in the bush riding for the more serious riders.

“A little piece of heaven in the CIty"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2014

Love this place. Great for walking/biking, with paved paths. There is a lake and a creek, tons of wildlife. Don't forget to head to The Ranch in the East end for some History, IceCream at the Bakery as well as the main restaurant located in a huge Heritage House for lunch and dinner. There are even picnic tables with BBQ pits along the creek. Dog friendly as well (on leash). Great place to spend the day!
