“Nice place for a walk.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2014

Good place to take your dog for a walk or just go for a stroll and lose yourself a bit. Mostly prairie grass, so not too interesting that way, but the pathways are solid and it's unspoiled, which has to be appreciated. There are some good MTB spots around too.

“I think I'm missing the point”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2014

This is a good effort for conservation purposes and wildlife preservation, which I think many of us can agree upon is valuable to set aside space for. Calgary certainly has plenty of it. What I don't agree on is calling this some sort of tourist destination. Barren, brown, windy, mosquito-plagued and dull with only few walking trails and little else to do. The view isn't even that nice, there are better views of the city along Crescent hills.

Five for the effort and intent to preserve a natural area, two stars as an actual place to go,

“Just awful!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2014

This place is awful. Never ever go here. Gigantic waste of time. This was all sarcasm but hopefully it keeps people away so I can continue to have this magnificent and quiet section of Calgary to myself.

“Calgary's Natural Treasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

Nose Hill is a unique and wonderful place right in the heart of a major urban centre. The park is extensive and has a large network of walking/cycling trails. For the most part, it is a wilderness park in a fairly natural state. The City and the management association of the park continue to try to return the park to its historic vegetation as much as possible.

I can't say enough about how valuable places likes this are. We can wander for hours in the park, and watch deer, coyotes, hawks and a variety of other critters going about their business without interference.

The Fall vegetation is spectacular, especially on the 14th Street side and the views of the city at sunset can't be beaten.

The park functions throughout the year and is just as interesting in winter as it is in spring. Last time I checked there were 6 different access points/parking into the park and each area within the park is quite unique.

Note:walkers need to be careful if they take small dogs off leash into the area... coyotes are forever on the prowl for dinner!
