“Pub Atmosphere”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

Service was good, food was average. Decor a little dark. Had more of a pub only feeling rather than a restaurant.

“Like any pub in Ireland or the UK”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2012

There are pubs outside the British Isles that try hard to be like a pub back home.
This one doesn't try because it just is like a pub back home.
We had a few drinks on a Thursday night and it was very busy with many locals and visitors alike.
There was a nice buzz around.
The beer was nice and cool, the food was tasty too.
When we asked where the bathroom is ... they guy behind the bar replied: "we call them loos here"! Beer served with humor.

“SO RACIST”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2012

My mom " who wears a Scarf/ Hijab ", was visiting today from Ottawa and we decided to go in and have a snack and coffee.
so we sit beside the fence to have a street view. there was around 3 or 4 empty table when the one of the waitress start asking us to move to middle part of the patio without giving us a clear reason. I told her if it was busy i would move , but with no clear explanation and not even an eye contact she insisted to make us move.
So We had to leave After all.
I am really disappointed with such a racist behavior from somebody in Calgary.
And now mom is kind of depressed i can't convince my mom to go out with me in this city before returning back to Ottawa
Thank you for this .... experience. THIS THE WAY TO BEHAVE IN A CANADA.

“Average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012

This is a well known "after work" pub in downtown Calgary & it's usually pretty busy. The food is typical pub fare, but the beer prices are nothing short of outrageous ($7-8 bucks a pint). I've only visited during the week & it was mostly office types in for a drink after work (or a goodbye party for a friend). A pretty average pub with expensive beer.
