“So nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2010

Lake Louise gondola is something shouldn’t be missed. They also have some ride/lunch or ride/breakfast combo tickets which actually is a pretty good deal. While ascending on the gondola you can see the beautiful emerald colours of Lake Louise .They say that if you are lucky you can see even bears and they reported bears sight almost every day.We didn’t seen one I guess is nice to see one from the gondola but really don’t want to see one while hiking.

“What a view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2010

The Canadian Rockies are known for couple of things but this is the TOP of list. This view is worth the money. If you get there early enough you can get a deal that includes lunch if your hungry.

“Have to do the Lake Louise gondola”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2010

You cannot go to Lake Louise without taking the gondola. For $25.95 Canadian (August 2010), you get great views from the top of the ride. You can do a lot of hiking from there. If you love mountains, you cannot miss this attraction. The gondola is quite safe. If you are used to using gondolas for downhill skiing, you will have no problem. Takes about 10-15 minutes to get to the observation deck. If you prefer ,you can take the open chair lift (with bars and foot rests).

“Good Value - particulary if you have breakfast too”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2010

There are plenty of coupons in the free guide books to enjoy a discounted breakfast and gondola ride. Special offers are not common place in the Canadian Rockies so we thought it was worth a try but didn't expect much for our money.

However, we had a lovely breakfast - help yourself to as much as you like from the buffet. The gondola ride was excellent and takes you into grizzly bear country. We were lucky and got a sighting during our trip. An all round excellent attraction.

“Our Only Grizzly Bear Sighting!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2010

We just returned from a wonderful week in BNP. We opted for the breakfast/ride combo as it is only a few dollars difference to add to your package and it's a buffet breakfast. We were able to sit outside on the deck and eat breakfast with great views of the slopes.

We had stunning views from the top of the gondola. Several trails were closed at the top due to bear activity, so we weren't able to hike. We did walk down to the visitor center and watched a presentation on bears. There are a lot of interesting facts and artifacts posted in the center about different types of animals found in the park.

We were very happy to see a grizzly on the ride back down! It was grazing on an open slope right below us. This was our only grizzly we saw during our entire trip too! We hiked many bear restricted trails and still did not see any besides the one on the gondola ride. We were certainly not disappointed! I think it's well worth the money, especially with adding the breakfast package on.
