“Lovely room in a lovely hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2011

Great room for travelling with three family members. Loved the murphy bed and the separate bedrooms in the "family rooms". Good restaurant (the one upstairs as the one on the main floor was unavailable due to a private party). Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in a suite in unit 5.

Exterior is shabby need of repair - rain gutters falling off, down spouts fallen off, some facia is missing. Two of the three windows would not close completely.

No coffee filters to go with coffee maker. When the desk was called two workers showed up and delivered two coffee filters for our three morning stay!

The "fully equipped" kitchen had no measuring spoons or cups. The housekeeping staff informed us that if they weren't in the room they couldn't supply them followed by a sarcastic "sorry about that." The stove exhaust hood was blocked shut so as breakfast was cooking the smoke alarm went off.

Nothing in the game room worked. The guest operated laundries were not available unless one used them when most guests were away. The soap dispensing machines were not restocked. Soda machines were out of stock.

The towels were clean but frayed.

The Lake Louise Inn is used by a number of bus tour companies so guests come in waves overwhelming the staff.

The pasta and pizza restaurant had good items and the servers were pleasant.

Finding a less expensive room is not easy, so I booked the Lake Louise Inn.
The rooms are nothing to write home about and are not cheap, but due to supply and demand they can get away with the prices.
The room was clean and in decent condtion. We were on the 3rd floor and fortunately there was an elevator. Wireless was not free.
The room had a coffeemaker which came in handy. When my husband went to the lobby to buy a cup of Starbucks coffee it cost $4.20....Outrageous! It was a little more than $2 at any of the local Starbucks in the area.
If I return to LL, I will stay in Banff and take a daytrip to the Lake and Chateau Lake Louise.

This place was awesome! Was in a great location, only minutes drive from Lake Louise. Our bedroom was very comfortable and warm (as it was freezing outside). The only bad things was that we were on the top floor and there was no loft for our luggages (we were all girls so it proved to be difficult!!).
This place also offered laundry facilities, and there was a huge games room downstairs. The inn also had a restaurant which was great =)

What can I say, during the busy time of year we were kind of at the mercy of "they had a rooom", when others had noting. Price was high, but that goes with season.
We ate at the bar downstairs of lobby. Again prices were high. I ordered fish & chips and one piece of fish was not cooked, so I sent it back. The second order of fish & chips came out and the same thing happened. Two pieces were cooked, one was not. So rather than send it back again, I just ate the 2 pieces.

Depending on what day of your vacation you are on; this hotel may suit you. It was nice to be on the main floor no stairs. But the actual bed, linens and pillows were not 5 star. Maybe 3. It was nice to have a full kitchen and seperate b.r. With 2 tv's but i probably wont stay there again.

We made the mistake and letting reservations know that we would only be in the room to sleep and get ready. They recommended the economy type room and it was less than efficient. The carpet was paper thin and was dirty when we arrived. It was never swept in the 4 nights that we spent at this location. In addition the walls were paper thin. We could hear the next door neighbors opening and closing their drawers. There is a laudry mat in several buildings and there is an indoor pool. We did not go for a swim because the pool was very cloudy. The workers at the front desk were very nice and helpful. We would just not recommend the economy room.
