“Jaw dropping beautiful .”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2015 NEW

We truly could not believe how truly beautiful this lake view is.
It is only unfrozen for a couple of months of the year.
Even though it was right at the end of summer it still had snow flurries during the day up high on the mountainS.
Terrific hikes , we hiked to the tea house approximately 4 hour round trip including a lunch break at the top.
My guy found the hike easy I did not however I am glad I did not give up
The tea house is on Agnes lake there is also a beautiful waterfall up here.
You will get very hot hiking up , you will need gloves, beany and scarf when you cool off at the top.
The staff in the tea house up here hike up with supplies and live up there for a week and food is delightfully fresh .
Indoor and outdoor seating.
The view of lake Louise with the Glaciers in the back drop is jaw dropping beautiful .
You can take a canoe out during the months when the lake is not frozen solid.
If the weather is clear get your picks quickly as the cloud coverage can change in a heart beat.
We stayed from 2 nights if you like to hike and relax plenty of restaurants and in house shops I would recommend a minimum of 3 to 4 nights.

“Great.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2015 NEW

It was a cold cloudy day when we were there and it had been snowing in the higher ranges. The water wasn't blue as this picture shows. If you are contemplating a trip here don't miss Lake Moraine - special and stunning. It's not far.

“Awe inspiring view of the magnificent lake, mountains and glacier.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2015 NEW

One of the most beautiful views in the world. We had seen it on TV and in brochures and wondered if it was real, but when we walked around the side of the hotel to the viewing point it was overwhelming. We stood in awe of the magnificent view. We will never forget it.

“Check the weather before you go”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2015 NEW

Don't let my rating disappoint you. This is a beautiful and a one of a kind destination. The only reason I rate it as poor is because of our personal experience, and thus I just want to caution you to check the weather before you see this place. My wife and I took a week holiday to do a roadrip, and after 17 hours of driving, Lake Louise was going to be the highlight of our trip, and it would have been but unfortunately the forest fire smoke from Washington/BC moved north east and right into Banff National Park. The mountains we were looking forward to seeing were completely hidden behind the haze of smoke, and you could hardly see the end of the lake. The smoke is completely out of anyone's control, but if you have the flexibility to change your holiday dates, make sure you go when the weather is supposed to be clear and sunny. Unfortunately we did not have that flexibility but I may have saved this destination for another trip had I been aware of the smoke. On the positive side, the hike up to Lake Agnes was very enjoyable, and the reward is being able to sit down in a log cabin styled tea house for a pot of tea. Bring cash though.
