Lake louise is really pricey do even though it was cold ( we woke to snow on tent!) we had no choice but to camp.

Site fine- initial site offered was occupied so had to change it. Quite empty as stayed last 2 days of season. No wait for showers but old and not as nice as at Banff or Jasper. Pretty standard campsite - same as US national parks ones just twice as expensive!

Could hear trains but didn't disturb me- however live in a big city so nothing new. Location near village.

The Campground is situated just outside of Lake Louise. Although in nature, 187 sites are available. The sites are quite spacy, yet RVs stand close enough together. Full hook-ups are standard, and there is a central sani-dump station available. Accomodation facilities are well equipped. The tent site area is electrical-fenced, needed with regards to the bears around...
Unfortunately the train tracks are passing by closely to the camp ground. For one reason or another (wildlife?), the train whistle will be blown at any location, which might be disturbing. However, one gets used to it. A train passing, means several minutes, as trains passing are quite long. Yet the campground is very well located, and staff are friendly.

Nice campground right in the mountains along the river. Bear warnings were a little scary and the way the sites were set up on the website made us believe we were booking sites beside each other. Turns out we booked with someone in between our two sites. Campground is a short drive to Lake Louise, which was cold but beautiful. Loved the animals around our sites

We tent camped here at short notice for one night when other sites on the icefields parkway were closed due to flooding and bear activity. The staff were very helpful and fitted is in even though the site was officially full. Our pitch was nice. Not as private as some sites but fine. The bear fence information given to us was very interesting and explained a lot about the specific reasons for having it. We had a very nice walk along the river. The shower block was quite far from the tent (500m) but clean and tidy. All in all a very good stay in a beautiful location!

We stayed here after Banff Tunnel mountain and preferred this one. The RV sites were bigger with better privacy. We had a little bit of a walk to the shower block but it was clean and the water in the shower was hot and powerful. The staff were pleasant and helpful. There is a lovely river walk on the campground and the kids had a great time skimming stones. We didn't seem to hear the trains here quite as much as we did at Banff but maybe our site was just a little further away from the train line. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here on our return to Banff after staying further north in Jasper. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the site was clean but the toilet facilities were horrendous. The block situated nearest to us weren't clean and the smell was awful. We had already stayed on other Parks Canada sites during our stay so we were able to compare fairly. We also used many roadside facilities including pit toilets on our travels around the Rocky Mountains so you can rest assured that this is a review by people who are used to basic camp-sites. After using the toilet block I decided not to use the showers but my husband went to check them out and said they were also unpleasant. In fact, it was so bad there we used the public restrooms in the car park of lake Louise to wash and brush our teeth as they were far nicer! We would not recommend staying here at all and Tunnel Mountain isn't too far away and is much, much nicer.

Overall, very nice campground. Stayed 1 night. Very clean facilitys. Lots for trains, very close to camp sites... We enjoyed the Agnes Tea house hike, 2 kids 11 and 14 loved the hike. Lots to do and see around Lake Louise. Having growen up in Banff if was great to see these sites with my family. Its been 20 years since my lasy visit. We'll not wait so long for our next.
