I really enjoyed this spot if I had more time we would have relaxed watched the waterfall and the stream flow by! Maybe even went hiking a bit along the river as it was just so beautiful there! Definitely a must see if in banff as it is walking distance from many places!
In summer or autumn it may be amazing to do riverrafting
towards Bow falls(not too dangerous,but lot of fun)
I walked from the Gondola down to the falls (about 3 km). It was an exhausting walk and when I got to the falls, I was surprised at how big they were (for such a small river) and the beauty with about 3/4 being frozen. Unfortunately, the trail to the top was closed (I think due to ice), but the falls were really spectacular from where I stood. This whole place is absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait to come see it in the summer some time.
Very impressive and powerful waterfall which is worth a quick visit and walk alongside, there is plenty of free parking at the base of the falls and the viewpoint only takes a 5 minute walk.
Bow Falls is a definite stop when you go to do the Springs or Gondola. Very easy access to a nice falls without having to do a long hike. It literally is right next to the parking lot. Nice place to relax, take in the view, and get some nice pictures.
