The Terrace is an absolute favourite of mine in Banff. I am lucky enough to frequent every few weeks or so and enjoyed a decadent Christmas dinner in there this year as well. In my opinion they have the best cocktails in town; inventive, imaginative, use fresh ingredients and delicious! One my favourite little treats is they make their own flavoured butters! In my last visit I started with the buckwheat crepe with seared scallops (which were cooked perfectly) served with leeks in a cream sauce followed by tableside beef tartar and finished with a perfectly portioned cheese platter......not to mention the spectacular wine and exceptional service. I wish more people knew about this restaurant but as it's located in a hotel it is usually overlooked. If you ever get a chance to try it out do so...you won't be disappointed.
