“Generous portions, great service!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

My daughter and I enjoyed a great meal at the Maple Leaf Grill which which included creative fare and the most generous portions I have ever had in a resort restaurant. The goat cheese truffles are a "must have" appetizer. We both ordered the Brome Lake duck which came with two full breasts and a leg portion of perfectly cooked duck along with roasted yellow beets and parsnips, and a wild mushroom risotto croquette. The wine list is a book of wines from every wine region in the world, and includes a lengthy list of "by the glass" offerings. Our waiter was friendly and professional making for a terrific evening.

“Great ambience, food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

Right in the middle of town. Pricey, but nice. Best Caesar salad ever. French Onion soup was nothing special so don't recommend. Ordered the stroganoff wi bison and disappointed, heavy and had pickles in it which was strange for this southern girl. The salmon special was fantastic. Table by the window gave nice view of the main Banff Avenue. Good selections of wine. Outstanding service.

“We loved everything about this place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

The entire evening was a delight - reception to leaving. Service was attentive and warm. You can tell a great place with good management when ALL staff are friendly and happy and greet you with warm smiles. Our server - Devon - gave us unerring advice about menu choices. The grilled Calamari had an unusual presentation and was the best we have ever had - anywhere in Canada and even Italy. Next we had traditional Canadian mains (Quebec duck) and western bison. They were both beautifully presented, tender, and delicious. We also enjoyed the homemade desserts - Jimmy's crumble for example. Overall, the Maple Leaf and Devon gave us a wonderful dining experience.

“Name is bland - food is not at all.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

What a surprise when walking in the door. I actually expected a bit of a dive based on the name, shame on me. :)

Comfortable, inviting atmosphere. Food was great, fresh and definitely not 'out of the box' pre-prepared.

The offer a private room upstairs, I'll be booking that sometime in the future for sure.

Great place, definitely check it out.
