“Better than average”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

Lively place on a Friday night. Make sure you book.

Busy on this particular night, so the service wasn't excactly brilliant, but they were all trying hard.
Decent wine list, warm bread to dip whilst you are browsing menu.
Perfectly cooked New York steak with the 3 biggest scallops I've ever seen on the side.
Apple crusted Pork tenderloin was a nice cut served among a killer apple sauce. Very Good.
Creme Brulee and Chocolate & Peanut Butter Fudge cake to finish, all homemade, all delicious, all well presented.

Cost about $140 including drinks and tip for the pair of us.

Better quality food than Earls, Keg type thing.

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

Booked this restaurant after disappointing experiences at other venues in Banff ( magpie pie and stump, the keg -downtown) and in hope of a memorable evening.
we weren't disappointed ...unique and interesting menu, gracefully presented and cooked to perfection. A delight and must do for all visitors to Banff. Excellent service from our server John C and friendly welcome from maitre d' on arrival.
Absolutely recommended..... Wish we had found earlier in our vacation.

“Good food, service and atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013 via mobile

Called in for lunch after arriving n Banff. It was bloody cold so it was the first place we came across, and we were glad we did. Service was excellent, meals were quick, beers were cold and local. Chairs were comfy, so much so, that after a meal and fe beers we contemplated curling up and having a quick nap, but that might have been pushing it a bit to far.

“Great brunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

I went for a brunch with a collegue. We arrived just before the restaurant opened and we were served fresh coffees right away. The decor is great, all in wood, making you feeling in a large Canadian hunting cabin. Comfortably seated we had the traditional Canadian breakfast which was really tasty. The service was professional and courteous.
A really good brunch experience !
