“Great Food but service without a smile”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

The restuarant is set in the heart of Banff village centre, perfectly located for lunch or dinner whilst taking a break from the shops!
The waitress was not overly friendly and didnt really smile during our visit, it seemed like she was not too worried if we had a good time or not which is a shame.
The resturant has some nice lounge areas downstairs, you can sit up on high chairs at the bar or there is a private style area all on the ground floor. On the upstairs there is plenty of space for a large party approx 170 with its own bar and again lots of flexibility to create private areas.
The food was however FANTASTIC! So delicious and fresh. Ignore the staff and enjoy the food!

“Terrific choice for dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012 via mobile

My wife wanted to treat us for dinner in Banff and an excellent choice it was . The appetizers are uniquely flavoured and represent the area well, we settled on the game platter and the offerings were well presented and complimented each other perfectly. Our mains were steaks and all were cooked to perfection with the appropriate sides very flavourful. Service was very good and our wait staff was well versed in the extensive wine menu, so as to make a great suggestion for an accompanying wine. All in all a very pleasant evening and great way to kick off our weekend!

“Decent upscale bar and grill”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

One of the nicer restaurants on the main Banff Ave strip. Downstairs is a bar with some seating but the main dining room is upstairs. Decor is cozy with abundant wood and stone. Pretty typical bar and grill menu with some local specialties like elk meatballs and bison tenderloin. The cowboy style 18oz ribeye was really nice. Lots of flavor in the steak albeit presented a bit messily on top of a bed of mixed veggies. Decent wine list with half-bottles and wines by the glass available. Service was excellent throughout the meal.

“Just ordinary”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

Went for lunch with a friend. Although the lounge is very confortable, everything else was just OK & to top it off our server just assumed not to bring any change back... will probably not go back especially when you have the Salt Lick just around the corner!!

Great food and nice atmosphere. I ate the baseball steak and it was delicious. Too big for me though! Fiancee had Salmon. She wants to go back!
