“Great Restaurant”

Visited St James Gate, or the Gate as locals call it for the first time in a long time this past weekend. Food was really great. Had the Beef Barley Soup to begin with, REALLY GOOD. And then fish and chips. The chips were undercooked, but I was too full to care. Fish was really well done, crispy but not too greasy.

My only critism, Great Big Sea music in an irish pub? No!! Haha

“Excellent food”

We absolutely devoured the Poutine with Asiago cheese, lamb, and red wine demi. The portions were ample and we all took portions of our meal back with us. Service was lovely, atmosphere authentic, and the food superb.

“Great food, great beer selection, great service”

The title says it all...we went there twice in our weekend stay. The food really is amazing and there is a decent selection of beers on tap. Our service was great both times, as well.

“Horrible service”

We went in here for drinks after earls and we sat down for fourty minutes and didnt even get asked if we wanted a drink...... So we walked right back out..... It was really busy but come on !it was very loud lots of ppl
