“Good but could be great!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013 via mobile

visited here a while back when i lived in banff. The downstairs area is perfect for lunch with friends, through upstairs is lovely for a formal dinner, however service could be better and the prices are a touch too much i think. Still a cracking place and well worth a visit!

“Quality feel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013 via mobile

It's a Restaurant with a high quality ambience and Decor. The food was very good and cooked exceptionally well, however my steak was wasn't that tender which can be down to piece of meat. We did like the feel of the place, however my one big criticism was the service was rushed and although the Restaurant wasn't that full it felt they were trying to get us in and out quickly. We did have to ask the waitress a couple times to slow down, however the hint was not taken.

The place has a lot of positives and is expensive, however if it could improve the quality of service I consider it would be worth it.

“Great place for drinks and food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

We have been to this restaurant so many times, we really enjoy the food, the soup specials are amazing. I once had a chicken & wild black rice soup there a few years back that was absolutely delicious.
It has a ground level bar that looks cozy and inviting, but is usually a bit chilly, but I am Nesh! (See Wikipedia)
There is also a posher restaurant upstairs, but I much prefer the chilly bar.
It's good for food at anytime of day, late breakfast through to late dinner, very good selection of food, great place for steaks and lobster. It's a touch on the pricey side but definitely worth it.
Staff have always been great.

Can't wait to go back,

“good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

We went here after seeing the ad whilst at Sunshine - 8oz prime sirloin on Wednesdays for 15 bucks. The upstairs restaurant was closed due to a private function so sat in the bar downstairs which was really nice - spacious area, large screen tvs with sports showing. Happy hour till 7 - certain tap beers for 5 bucks. Steak was served with skinny fries and a delicious jus, good sized portion, served rare as requested, no complaints whatsoever. Other items on the menu were a little pricey but the portion sizes were good. Excellent value steak meal and beer.

“Great Steak”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

The staff were pleasant and helpful. I am gluten intolerant and they were able to provide me with options that allowed for a very enjoyable meal. The steak was done beautifully and I loved the maple butter squash.
