It is always such a pleasure going to this restaurant as we've been going there from the very first day they opened (in 1981, I believe). My wife started with the Salmon trio and I started with the popular combo which included steak tartare - a dish I love! We then shared two delicacies for the main course ... the real SOLE, cleaned up very nicely table side and a Veal parmigiana - both of which were amazing. The service was also great as the well seasoned waiter has worked at some great places in Europe, the Cayman's and a few years back he also worked at the Post Hotel in Lake Louise. The restaurant features one of most extensive wine lists in Banff and the elegance of the restaurant shone through last night. We sat by the window of this second floor restaurant and watched the banter of a very busy night of people walking in the downtown area of Banff. Great views of the town and great views of the mountains make this one of very finest restaurants we go to in Western Canada.
