“Best Souvalki!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

If you want home-cooked souvalki, look no further. It's a small "hole in the wall" place where the owner will cook you up something delicious. We discovered it years ago, thanks to a referral, and love popping in there for a quick bite, very satisfying.

“Great Food, Fast Friendly Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2014

I come here all the time, no matter who is working you are greeted with a smile, the food is prepared right infront of you and is delicious.

I recommend the Lamb Burger, the Calamari and the Chicken Souvlaki.

“Yummy Homemade Greek in Banff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

This nook in the wall maybe missed as you meander past. It is a tiny stand up restaurant that has been a locals secret. The owner and his family create a little Greek experience in the Rocky mountains in Banff, Canada. Pictures line the walls of various homeland locations to transport you to Greece as you enjoy the lemon garlic sauce over the fries or lamb souvlaki.
A favourite treat after a soak in the Upper Hot springs.

“In the running for best burger of my life”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2014

We stopped in here for lunch on a Saturday in April right at 11am (they open at 11am). It's a pretty small place, not really much for seating, more just bar stool and bar type seating. Would be better for takeout. We did the bar stool thing as we had the place to ourselves. Barpa Bill himself took our order and while not the friendliest man of all time he took care to prepare the meal nicely. I got a Barpa Burger and maybe I'm just a sucker for tzatziki (TWO layers of it!) but it was easily one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. The beef was cooked great and was juicy, the bun was grilled yet soft, and the tzatziki was off the charts. My wife ordered a chicken souvlaki wrap and was equally giddy. The meals don't come with fries or salad so I ordered a side greek salad for an outlandish $7 and it while good it wasn't $7 good. The burger was definitely $9 good though. Haha, this meal was the meal that kept on giving as those garlic burps 2 hours later are pretty potent!
