“Delicious!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2014

Great dishes, delicious flavours, and friendly staff and service. Nice variety on lunch and dinner menu. Have been here a few times now when staying in Banff or passing through.

“Overpriced”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2014

Coyotes used to be great food for a reasonable price, but it looks like the food is the same for what is close to fine dining prices. We has two orders of their fish tacos (which gets you two very good but small tacos, rice and refried beans), one side salad which was average at best, and one beer... For $75! Not worth it.

“healthy lunch/brunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2014

Vegetarians have great options here. The food is mexican inspired. Great flavors! the lentil soup was amazing, it was well flavoured and spiced. There was a lot of people at the place so it must be a great place to go for brunch. The price was standard, $10-$15 per entree.

“Pretty good breakfasts”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2014

Very busy place....you have to get there early...or well after the main breakfast hours as getting a seat is hard at the best of times...we were able to get a seat late morning, it was still quite busy, service was ok taking the orders but getting the meal was another thing(LOL)...there was but one cook and it looked like he was behind the 8 ball from the get go...my friend ordered a fruit dish to begin with and it took them I would guess about 45 minutes to dish that out and serve it...and meals came awhile after that...good food though...they just don't have it together to cook and serve people in any numbers that I noticed...it looked like he was cooking one meal at a time...very strange indeed.......BUT......once again very good breakfasts...if you got the time to wait go for it !!

“Nothing Special at Coyotes”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2014

Coyotes is just an average everyday restaurant in a town that has some really good restaurants. Their service is poor with an inattentive waitress( More interested in getting setup for the next meal of the day than attending their customers) Their French toast would make Julia Childs cry. It was not French at all ( Two inch thick bread dabbed in egg wash with dry bread center and a bit of bacon stuffing in center). The waitress tells you that how we do it in this restaurant. Well they should not embarrass the French by misusing the name of a beautiful dish of old French bread soaked throughout in seasoned egg for at least 15 minutes and then grilled until Crispy brown with Real Canadian Maple syrup. The Frittata was overcooked with dry outside egg, no fluff and average to poor salsa and cheese on top. Remember these meals are served at resort area prices. They ask you when your done how everything was and when you tell them the truth they get disturbed. Why do they ASK? Do yourself a favor and skip Coyotes. Tim Hortons has better food at better prices and pleasant service for breakfast.
