When you pop in this looks like your standard low end pub, but what's missing in decor is more than compensated for in food quality & value. A small menu done well beats any high end restaurant that looks fantastic but shrimps on the portions and quality.
I'd describe Bruno's fare as updated classic comfort food. The menu has enough variety to satisfy everyone in the family as my son will attest to. The food was fresh, well presented and spot on for flavours. Not over or under seasoned, the chef allows the true flavours of the meal do the talking. We walked away full but not uncomfortable and the offerings were well priced. We tried the pulled pork on ciabatta bun, which was described as "great". A classic hamburger which wasn't masked by any cloying sauces or smothered in cheese. Lastly was the beef dip on pretzel bun with classic a'jus, very lean beef and a very tasty light a'jus. We opted for salads rather than fries and they were tasty as well, the Caesar even featured real bacon (only suggestion here is to use real Parmesan rather than the powdered style). The house dressing was also described as very tasty.
We will go back as I really am tempted to try the other menu items.
