I stayed at the Fox Hotel & Suites with husband and friends in January 2014 and it was wonderful. We chose the Premium Loft Suite and it was very much like a contemporary cabin feel. There was a lovely wood fire smoke smell in the entire room (may not be good for asthma sufferers but I was okay with it, even though I'm allergic to cigarette smoke). The faux "cave" hot pool centered in the courtyard with rooms surrounding it was a charming touch. One thing folks should note (but this didn't bother us at all) was that if you decide to change into your swimsuit and walk to the hot pool, be forewarned that your hotel room exits onto open air (in January it was cold... like -20C cold, obviously) before entering the elevator area down the pool. So... just be aware of that. :) Bed was comfortable, pillows were comfortable, decor was great, kitchenette was handy, room was clean.... and the list goes on.
One big point off for having Chili's as the restaurant attached to the hotel, which is where you eat complimentary breakfast (the food was DIY pre-mixed glop pancakes, canned fruit, disgusting overcooked coffee... blech, low grade food). I would have preferred if The Fox Hotel & Suites had a more classier restaurant attached to it, in my opinion. The rooms were perfect, but why ruin it with a Chili's? This does not make sense to me. They should have a restaurant attached to it which is more like the "cabin" feel.
