“Historical Site, interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2014 NEW

If you love nature and history, you will find the Cave and Basin an interesting place to be. It does have the sulfur smell which resembles rotten eggs, but after a while you will get used to it. It also tells the history of the area and how the cave and basin was discovered. My husband and I enjoyed the hiking area and the beautiful views.

Love the Cave and Basin. It's a must if your visiting Banff the history of the park and surrounding area is top notch and you are able to hike up behind to some of the most beautiful sceneries.

“Nice taste of nature”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2014

Cave & Basin are always a stop on the itinerary for us when in Banff. Very informative and clear presentations through the walking trails, and usually plenty of wildlife to view while doing the short hike.

“Interesting.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2014

It was interesting enough, but seemed to be trying to make a 'big deal' out of a small place. I thought that the best part was the walkway down by the lakes.
