Visited on a hot August day, so the combination of mosquitos and the pervading smell of sulphur was a bit offputting. Searched in vain for the "famous" Banff Spring Snail (Physella johnsoni), obviously a rare beast! However, the exhibition/display on the history of Canadian National Parks was very interesting, especially as it was in the shade! Good views of the magnificant scenery. Also visited Vermillion Lake on other side of valley which was beautifully quiet and rich in dragonflies.
