I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of March with a friend. It was $169, excluding taxes, including a $30 dining credit for their restaurant (which was quite tasty and good value; service is alright - friendly, not the fastest but not terrible...and the view makes up for it).
One of the best place about this place is definitely the hot tub!! And perhaps the fact that no one was using it on a quiet Monday evening, so my friend and I were able to have some great conversation and a LOT of space to ourselves! :) Yeah, the hot springs in Banff is cool too, but that always has tons of people.
This hotel is not in the "busy part" of Banff. It's located by the highway entrances. So, if you're looking for something in Banff so you can walk everywhere, you should pick another hotel. This is still within walking distance for sure, but you'll likely end up driving. Since we were coming from Jasper, with intentions to go to other attractions like Lake Louise, Johnston Canyton, Banff, etc., the hotel location worked out perfectly and was easy to find in the dark (we checked in at like 12am!).
Rooms/beds were clean, comfortable and "up to date"; the view of my room was kind of weird (saw a roof top of a lower floor). Not like I spent time looking out, but others may want to request a better view if it matters to them. I'm sure in some rooms, you should be able to see something nicer. Oh, and the bathroom amenities were AWESOME :D
That wraps it up! I can't speak of how this hotel would be in terms of the peak season, but if you're playing around with the idea of going in the off-season, especially with a deal, then I can say for sure it's worth considering.
