“Very good food, great wine list, knowledgeable staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

We were very pleasantly surprised by several things here -- the food was excellent, and our server steered us to a British Columbia cabernet sauvignon that was truly outstanding (this in response to my question as to whether we should attempt a Canadian wine...). We had a nice table by the window (perhaps the only window in the dininr room), and felt that we were very well taken care of.

“Must Visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

Lots more than wine here...I had a great meal...Venison medallions were very tasty. Perfect, small room with an awesome view. Service was outstanding. Sure it is expensive, but you must have been prepared for that when you set foot in the hotel.

“Wonderful Room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

My wife and I popped in for a glass before dinner while at Banff Springs. Service was fantastic. Staff very knowledgable about the list and are trained well in the art of presenting and pouring wine. We were impressed. List is amazing.

“Intimate dining atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

We have dined here several times when staying at the Springs....some days you just don't want to leave this amazing building !! It is a very intimate, small restaurant and they do not accept reservations. If they don't have a table available, you can head to the lounge and they will let you know when a table is ready. We have sampled multiple items from the menu and all were delicious. Save room for the chocolate fondue for dessert !!

“Gorgeous "hole" in the wall”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

The history in this room alone makes it worth a visit. Keep in mind if the smell of cheese fondue bothers you this may not be the room for you. My wife and I stopped off here one evening after dinner and managed to get a seat by the window where we enjoy a lovely Scotch and her a wine. There isn't alot about this room that sets it apart aside from its history and feel. The food selection was min. The service was very good though which you come to expect at the Springs.
