“Peaceful getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

On a hot day, this is perfect for a casual stroll under canopy of the trees alongside the streams with their green-blue colour. You can also deviate fro the 1.5km trail and walk back into town or further onto Vermillion Lakes and join the main trail by the Trans Canada Highway. New toilets at trailhead and newly paved car park make this a good stopping place for older less able adults or families with young children.

“A nice hike”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

This is a small spot and kind of hard to locate, but a nice hike, more of a woodland spot. I was there very early in the morning and the only other person there was a birder with his camera.

“Not great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

If you like walking and want a walk through woods then this is for you. Many different views as you go around make it ok. I was disappointed but many people do take this path.

“Great little trail with lots of wildlife.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013 via mobile

We got to see beaver, elk, deer, eagle, muskrat, squirrel and goose, all in one small hike. We may have lucked out with all the animal sightings, but I recommend this walk for anyone coming to Banff.

“Deer, river view and cheeky chipmunks”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

This is a short 2km level walk just on the outskirts of Banff. There are some nice views of the mountains and the wandering streams. You can cut over part way round and take the trail to Vermillion lakes, but we did not do that this trip. If you are after a nice stroll it's a good walk.
