We were in the British Columbia area this June and played many golf courses in the area. We saved what we considered to be the "best" for last, Fairmont Banff Springs Course. I overheard my friend inquire prior to booking the tee time about policy regarding inclement weather, in which she was assured that adjustments could be made.
After paying over $500 green fees for 3 people, the temperature dropped to 6 C and the rains come down (with distant thunder in the background). We returned to the pro shop only to receive what I consider one of the rudest encounters and poor displays of customer service I have ever witnessed!! It wasn't so much that we received incorrect information on the phone regarding policies, as much as it was how the supervisor treated "the customers" when he delievered the "Fairmont policy". Terrible attitude!
We played many other wonderful courses in the area: Copper Point, Eagle Ranch and my personal favorite, Greywolf! They're all within driving distance and much better courses. And the staff at all locations were outstanding!
Don't waste your money on this course!!!!
