“Nice drive just outside of banff”

Tunnel Mountain drive is nice in that it's surprisingly unpopulated, considering how close it is to banff, and particularly so at night. The main attraction along this drive are the hoodos (spelling?), rock formations created by the forces of erosion that are a popular point of interest for tourists, and worth seeing. There is also camp grounds (including an RV park) and hotels along this drive.

“Great views of Banff & Surrounds”

A quick drive with several great photo opportunites - especially good for a photo of the Banff Springs Hotel.
Not much room for stopping so make sure you only stop or park in the designated areas.

“Great short drive”

We stayed at tunnel mountain so after a few days we worked out that by driving this way to the highway to go to sunshine we got to see lots of wild life every morning .

“Nice drive”

We wanted a day off from skiing, but didn't want to do a lot. Had a car so able to take the short drive around the area. A number of lookout points along the way including the hoodoo's. We were lucky enough to spot 2 coyotes on the side of the road - that was very exciting. Good break from skiing. Would be a great walk in summer.

“Wear the proper shoes!”

In the winter the snow is slippery and not all the paths have wooden guards up so wear the proper shoes or stick to the "tourist" specified spots to view the Hoodoos.
