“Great location, wonderful staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

First thing, the Inn was rather old with some renovation. This is far from a real boutique inn I've seen. The restroom was quite small. However, it is very clean and the staff were extremely nice. Their hospitality made us feel like home. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights. We loved their home-made granola. One day we woke up late, and saw 2-3 Elks came down very very close to our patio. The walk from the inn to downtown Banff is very pleasant and short.

We spent 6 nights at this Inn at the end of May and can thoroughly recommend it. We were welcomed on arrival by the smell of homemade cookies. Breakfast was fresh and healthy with ample choice. All areas of the accommodation were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The Inn is in a quiet spot on the edge of town (we often came across deer in the woods opposite on the short walk into town). The owners Becky and Lee and their team are very friendly and helpful. Giving advice on the best places to eat, things to do e.t.c: or leaving you in peace if that is what you want.

WE thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Banff Boutique, a family operated B&B which is perfectly located, quiet and not being on the main street but close to all township and tourist sights.
The room we stayed in was quite large with very comfortable bed, heating, TV, bath and shower.
The breakfast was continental with fresh fruits, cereals, toasts, etc. etc.
The owners very friendly and helpful. We would stay again, we spent two nights there on our driving holiday.

Room Tip: I think any room would be of the same standard which is high.

We stayed in a room in the guest house building. The room was average, roomy but had a very tiny shower. You can barely wash yourself. Not much space in the bathroom to put your toiletries, there was no vanity area. Also, there were two funky steps oddly placed in the room, not together and my husband and I constantly reminded ourselves to watch out for them, but we tripped so many times. If you get this room, be very careful to step up two separate times on the way to the bathroom. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, that is why I am giving four stars, otherwise this would have been a three star. Breakfast was very average. We looked forward to hot cereal, but it was just packets of instant oatmeal. Baked goods were fair and the homemade granola was just ok. I think the breakfast could use improvement. The staff was just so friendly and nice and the price was pretty good for the Banff area. We were able to walk to shops and some hiking trails.

My husband and I recently spent 5 days at the Banff Boutique Inn. We loved our stay at this quaint Inn!
Our room was spacious & clean, with 2 televisions and a lounge area. It felt quite private and we could park right outside our room. However, what set the Inn apart was the fantastic, personal service. Upon learning I cannot have dairy, the owner Becky not only went to buy me soy milk for coffee the next morning, but asked what exact type I would like. The staff also helped us plan many of our outings in Banff, making great suggestions for restaurants, trails, attractions etc. in the area. Everyone was chatty and I looked forward to the lovely, healthy breakfast that was provided each morning. Most of the items were locally baked/grown, and every morning there was home-made granola and freshly baked muffins, cookies etc.

The location is walking distance to the main shops in Banff, and a nice 15 minute stroll to the Banff Springs Hotel where our friends stayed (for more than twice the price in a room smaller than my washroom at home).

We really enjoyed our stay at Banff Boutique Inn, and feel it is a great, affordable way to enjoy Banff without staying at a high priced brand name hotel. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: We stayed in one of the cabins behind the main Inn.

We spent three days at the Banff Boutique Inn during the month of May for our anniversary. The staff was very warm and friendly. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Julia provided us with a great orientation.

The breakfast was included and allowed us to fuel up for the day. The staff provided numerous recommendations of places to explore. We highly recommend the Johnston Canyon hike.

We can't wait to go back and will definitely stay at the Banff Boutique Inn on future visits.

We've stayed in other boutique hotels and found them to have a special touch. The Banff Boutique is ordinary at best. I read about the great breakfast, but it isn't. It's the same thing you'd find at value chain hotels, except the bread is of higher quality. The basement room is in dire need of decorating. The bed was comfortable and Becky, the owner, is extremely friendly and helpful, as are most Canadians, we've found. If you're just looking for the basics at a decent price, consider The Banff Boutique Hotel.
