“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2014

We were very happy with our stay at Brewster's and would stay again.
The good:
Large comfortable bed
Clean rooms
Breakfast included (basic)
Spacious rooms with cozy cabin feel
Brand new bathroom with huge jacuzzi and nice shower
Great location, right in town walking distance from shopping, restaurants.

The not so good
The underground parking- 5 dollars a night and it is VERY hard to park in that tiny little place with a big truck
The wifi - kept turning on and off, was very, very poor
Access to the Bird's Nest for breakfast was inconvenient

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are happy to hear your enjoyed your stay and the room met your expectations. With our heated underground parking we often find larger trucks have trouble parking in the parkade but we will always recommend other places nearby to park should that be the case. We will pass along your comments about the intermittent wireless to our IT team to find a resolution. Regarding our complimentary continental breakfast, the location used to be in the mezzanine just off the second floor; however, we found it was not sufficient space to accommodate the needs of our guests. As a the hotel layout was already completed, the only suitable option that had the space needed to provide the complimentary breakfast was the current location of the Bird's Nest in the lower level of the hotel. We appreciate your comments and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to Brewster's Mountain Lodge if you are back in the area.

Kind regards, Staff & Management

It is a very cute place, clean I would probably stay again if there was a deal going on. It is kind of a weird set up where we stayed. You had to go up stairs then down stairs to get to the room. Not convenient if you are packing a bunch of bags. The bathroom was really really nice but the doors were glass and it was a room with two double beds and it was my sister and I with our dad. We could not change in that big bathroom because of that. It would make sense to do that in a room with 1 king. It was very very loud in the morning you could hear people going to the buffet for breakfast and in their rooms. That made it hard to sleep. The hot tub had WAY to much chlorine in it. My eyes were watering and hurt from it in seconds of getting in. It was not enjoyable and you could not stand staying in for very long. I washed my bathing suit and it still smells like chlorine. Hopefully that can be fixed. Over all it was a quick visit and it was a nice place.

Excellent hotel and right around the corner is downtown Banff. For a hotel to be this close to the downtown core it is still very quite in the evening. Very nice rooms and the price is great. Staff are very helpful and there is underground parking for $5 or $10 per night. Just be careful on the size of vehicle, the packing is quite tight, and on a first come basis. There is a free parking parkade down the street. Will definitely stop back next time we are in Banff.

My husband I stayed her for 9 nights in March. We had the Bud Suite which was on the 3rd floor over looking Bear Street. The room was spacious, clean, good sized fridge, TV, double Jacuzzi bath and shower. The views were great and lots of good restaurants within easy walking distance.

The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. We enjoyed our stay very much.
The breakfast was very basic and you clear your own plates away. That said, as far as prices go in Banff, it was included in the price and sufficient. You certainly wont be putting on too much weight!

Some of the rooms look inwards and I am not sure that we would have liked one of these.

We would definitely stay here again. Having previously stayed at the Springs, the glamour is not there, but neither are the extortionately high prices!

Well done to all the staff and thank you.

Room Tip: Try to confirm a room that looks outwards of the hotel not inwards.

I have stayed in Banff probably 50 times. When I want to be downtown, I typically stay at Irwin's, Rundlestone, or Brewsters depending on availability and price. Red Carpet if you have pets. Douglas Fir if I do not plan to be downtown at night. Most recent stay at Brewsters had some problems to work out, where they had given away one of the three rooms. It was sort of understandable since the rooms were booked under the same name. Anyway they were able to accommodate us with some last minute scrambling. I was surprised to learn that the door in our room did not lock, but I am sure they will fix that now that they know.
The one room had a nice big balcony, and the other had a big room with extra space where the balcony was not. Breakfast is free but very continental without any egg thing or waffle thing. Big hot tub and a sauna. Everything looked clean to me. I see that many of the worst reviews are getting to be more than 5 years old, but I also notice that most of the best reviews are non-English travellers (perhaps we are spoiled in Canada?). As far as staff attitude, I found them very friendly and helpful, but in Banff, it will not be the same people the next time I visit. Will stay again if the price is right.
Parking is a little awkward, but it is free and SUV's did fit.

Room Tip: It is nice to have a balcony, but if you are spending time in the room, extra space may be nice. Th...

This hotel was booked as part of a package through a tour operator and we were not disappointed. Location is excellent for restaurants and ski bus service. Although the all inclusive breakfast is a little repetative everyday it is unlimted in quantity, very fresh, therefore very good value and the breakfast room open until 10:30am every day.
Unfortunately during the holiday i was taken ill and all the staff were excellent in looking after my welfare. Nothing was too much trouble and asked if there anything they could do to help. As was not able to fly home as planned staff were able to find and book alternative accommodation as and the hotel was full. They also allowed me use of the phone on reception to contact various parties at no extra cost.
A very big thank you to all the staff and would happily recommend this hotel
