“Lovely hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

Arrived here after a long day on the Rocky Mountaineer to be met with a roaring fire and friendly, attentive staff. The hotel is very comfortable and The Keg restaurant is excellent. Had a superb steak here the first night and breakfast the next day was equally good.

Stayed here with friends on a night away in Banff during a weeks stay in Alberta. The hotel was very pretty and cosy. Staff were helpful and attentive and the room very suitable to our needs. We had 2 queen sized beds as there were 3 of us and a view of the mountains. Particularly enjoyed sitting in the lobby having coffee the next morning, in front of the roaring fire. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a package tour. The hotel is on the edge of town but walking distance to just about everything. The hotel lobby area is amazing, lounges, open fire and so on. The Keg Restaurant was the breakfast room and breakfasts here were very good. Rooms were comfortable and functional. Although wi fi not in rooms, there was free wi fi in the lobby. Which was a good place to sit and catch up on emails.

Staff are excellent. Price is excellent value. Beautiful rooms and roaring fire in the lobby to greet us on a chilly morning. Great location for walking. Free underground parking and spa are nice perks. Would highly recommended to others.

we booked into the Caribou Lodge for four nights at the end of a 16 day road trip. The hotel looks impressive as soon as you pull up outside. They have free underground parking. The foyer is bright and very welcoming with a lovely log fire. The staff are extremely polite, helpful and well informed. Our room was a lovely size, well decorated and immaculate, it had a super king sized bed which is probably the most comfortable bed we've slept in. There was a two seater sofa, large flat screen tv and a table with two chairs. The coffee/tea making facilities were replenished regularly. There was a safe, iron and board. The bathroom was lovely and large with bath (shower over) the towels were lovely and fluffy and the toiletries supplied were superb. The hotel has a spa, hot tub and steam room. All in all I would say the hotel is an excellent choice. Attached is The Keg restaurant chain which is well known locally for its steak dinners. Here you could have breakfast, lunch and dinner. We opted to eat here three out of the four nights not only for convenience but the quality of food was outstanding. Only a 10 minute walk from downtown Banff. For those not up to walking there is a free shuttle bus pass which will take you to most of the attractions.

Spent two nights at the hotel and had a nice comfortable stay. Staff were nice and helpful. The lobby had a woodburning fireplace going and comfortable sofas. Newspapers available for reading in the lobby as well, free coffee available in the morning from 6AM-11AM. Our room was big and adequate for three of us. I think we were given an ADA room so no bath tub. Towels were a little worn out and show the years of use.

Breakfats at The KEG was good. Servings are big and two can share one order. We had the "Mountaineer" for breakfast and two could adequately share serving size. HAd the pnacakes the next day and it was the same.

Convenient parking at the basement and it was free.

After a very very long day on the Rocky Mountaineer we arrived at the hotel around 7pm,the rooms where very nice and clean and warm and cosey ,we went down to the restraunt for 1 of the best steaks I had all the trip? And in the morning when we woke outside looked like a postcard,it was early October and it had snowed!!!! It was so so picturesque,it was a nice welcoming hotel,

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the main street,so you can see the mountains
