“Excellent value for money”

Brilliant value and cozy are two words to best describe this place. Great location (about 10 mins walk straight to downtown), adequate parking on site, neat and clean. Can't go wrong for 99$ a night, especially given all the other lodges/hotels right next to AND opposite this location.

Only gripe was lack of good onsite dining options, especially for breakfast. The Keg on-site was a real let-down with stale, distasteful options. Food was cold, undercooked and severely lacked variety especially given a price of $15 for the buffet...

This, like most hotels in Banff are built & decorated in Alpine style. It is a bit dated & it does not offer complimentary breakfast. Instead, they have all parked-up with the chain restaurants to take advantage of the limited real estate space & lower overhead.
They have made a few higher than average quality upgrades such a faucets but still has the old windows.
What it does offer is a great spa, great natural soaps & the best sheets & pillows to date.

Not a bad one but definitely overpriced. I spent 2 nights there for sightseeing.
At one day night, fire alarm was repeatedly went off without any explanation.
I could not sleep again at that night.
When checking out, apprentice front desk staff had me some trouble for some reasons.
Overall not a bad one but will not have a next stay there.

We stayed here June 21, 2014 for 3 nights. Very nice hotel with a comfortable bed and updated shower with hot water. We stayed away from the front of the hotel and it was very quiet and could sleep with the windows open. There were numerous tour busses using the hotel so I would suggest avoiding rooms facing Banff St. or you will have quite a bit of noise from the street at night and the bus loading in the morning.

I used the fitness room, hot tub and sauna after long days of hiking. Very well kept and plenty of room for multiple people. I highly recommend using this nice amenity.

The Keg restaurant was excellent for dinner and service was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient while the food was delicious. You should plan on going to dinner before 6 PM or you could have a long wait when the tour busses arrive.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is not facing the front of the hotel.

Paying over $280 a night in Banff, I'd expect a much better experience.
No Air Conditioning in the room, Pretty hot in July. They provided a very small dusty fan for the room.
Bathroom fan is full of dust. The shower head is so low, I have to squat to wash my hair (I'm only 5'10").
Housekeep start to knocking on door loudly around 9:00 am, don't expect to sleep in.

But staff was friendly, allow us to EARLY check in @ 3pm, and late check out @ 1pm.
Location is okay, about 15 min walk to the town, or free bus pass to ride the bus (bus comes every 30 min)

Pro: Friendly staff. Free wifi, Free parking, Free bus pass, Hot pool, Spa.

Con: No air conditioning, Dusty room.

Overall, not worth the money.

This was by far the best hotel so far on our 3 week tour of Canada. All the staff were friendly and helpful and gave us excellent service. Free bus passes are provided for travel in the Banff area which was s real bonus. The room was lovely and all needs met. Food was also very good and sensibly priced.I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: A balcony room is good

We stayed here for two nights and were really happy with our stay. The check in staff were friendly and helpful and our room was recently refurbished and in very good condition. Only slight negatives are that it was a little small with 2 double beds in and we didn't have a view. The location is towards the end of the main road in the town but is only a ten minute walk to the town center. We ate breakfast in the Keg restaurant which was good. The star of the show, however, was the spa/swimming pool which was really nice and the jacuzzi was lovely and warm - don't miss it!
