“Solid hotel, but not sure if worth $50-100 more than others in Banff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2013

Delta did not disappoint in the quality of its rooms and service. Rooms were upgraded (traditional in furnishings) and clean. Nice pool and great large hot-tub. Hot-tub is separated from the pool area by half-wall which helps to feel more cozy and secluded. Robes and pool towels were provided. Pool was a good feature as there aren't many hotels with nice pools in Banff. We were able to upgrade to a nicer room with a fireplace.- room itself was a bit bigger with a larger bathroom. Bed was very comfortable with nice sheets.

Negatives- although on the main strip, it is a bit far from the main shopping/restaurant area. Underground parking is quite tight and one night (during the weekend) there were more cars than parking spaces.

We stayed in other hotels on the strip and found that the quality of the hotel was not much less than Delta's but price was much better. Don't think we would stay there again given than we hardly spent any time in the hotel.

The girlfriend and I decided to escape the city and have a romantic night here. We got out of town late, but when we arrived our check in was oh so smooth! We were in our room within minutes of checking in, after parking our car in the underground parking. (Got super lucky with a spot on the first level ridiculously close to the door!!) The bed was super comfy, the fireplace kept us toasty on the cool-ish night, and the bathroom was spacious! I popped out for a walk later in the evening, but stopped for a pint in the lounge just before it closed. Great service, although there was an extremely loud woman sitting behind me. Not the hotels fault, but people will be able to here conversation of a normal volume.
We didn't get a chance to try out the pool and spa area, as we had....other things in mind. They looked like fantastic facilities though! Can't wait to go back and try them out!

Stayed during Thanksgiving (U.S.) week and had a great experience. Hotel room was one of the cleanest I've ever seen. For a previous trip to Banff during the summer, we stayed at the Fairmont but we thought this hotel was a much better. Better value, better beds (and linens), better service, and more convenient (we thought the Fairmont was too large and away from town - which I guess some might prefer, but not us with 2 kids). We will definitely stay here again when visiting Banff. I really wish they had a property in Lake Louise.

Room Tip: Don't get a room facing the main street in front - can be a bit loud from the traffic. We staye...

I have been a delta privelage member for a long time I have stayed at delta, hotels in Calgary kananaskis Edmonton and montreal. The service was amazing and the concierge gave a good choice of restaurants to eat at.We had a room with a fireplace. We didn't use it because it was summer but it had more space than the regular rooms.I have always been pleased with delta hotels and I will keep going to them.

This hotel is one from many Banff hotels you can chose from. We already stay in several Delta properties before, but first time in this one.
Hotel is easy to find, especially when you are driving from Calgary, just take first exit from the 1st HWY. To park your car in the Banff you will need parking pass, you can buy one at the Banff National Park gates daily of annual. As well we paid for the hotel parking.

Hotel is not very big, 3 stores up and 2 underground levels and floor plan was little bit confusing. Our stay was Sunday to Monday and the hotel wasn’t busy at all, but price didn’t reflect it. Hotel’s pool is lovely small and suitable for small company.
If you don’t like restaurant dining – there is Safeway nearby, but you can find variety of dining options along Banff Ave. Early morning we found that there is no buffet breakfast during week days, just on weekends, but ale-carte was good for us.

Unfortunately Monday was a cold day with snow and we didn’t spend too much time outside. It was second time when we stayed in Banff late November/ early Decvember and both time it was cold.

My husband & I booked a couple of nights in Banff to celebrate our anniversary. We were completely satisfied with our choice to stay at the Delta!

The rooms are spacious & well appointed, nice to see a gas fireplace. The beds are very comfortable & the fresh white linens add to the comfort level (in our experience many of Banff's accommodations still use patterned bedspreads- I always question their cleanliness.)
There is heated underground parking, when you leave in the morning your windshield has been cleaned by the staff overnight- very nice gesture!
The 'Grotto' pool area is beautifully designed with a pool, hot tub & steam room. The steam room is infused with eucalyptus- this would be such a treat after a day of skiing. Speaking of skiing- there are ski lockers available for guest use in the underground parking area.
We ordered room service a couple of times & the food was great, wait staff were friendly & prompt.

We will definitely stay here again, I would recommend the Delta to anybody looking for a place to stay in Banff.
