This property has to be the best value in Banff. It is ideally located just off Banff Avenue yet close to all the shops and restaurants. The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed ensuring a good night's rest. An excellent buffet breakfast was included in the tarriff. When I next visit Banff this will be my hotel of choice.

Now this is a good value hotel, in an expensive location. Rooms well worth the money, nice casual style restaurant. Good linens, plenty of quality towels, oh! and yes! bathrobes. Even a decent balcony, too bad did not supply chairs for said balcony. Location of this hotel makes it perfect for anything you might want to see and do in the area. Easy walking to the heart of town, if you happen to be Irish there's a good Irish style pub just a block away. very convenient underground parking too. l Would stay here again. Don't understand why this hotel only has 3 stars, should have higher rating for sure.

Room Tip: Might want to choose a room on the back side of hotel.

We have been staying exclusively at Banff Park Lodge since 1979. We have enjoyed the proximity to the river, downtown, liquor store, groceries and restaurants. It was the perfect hotel with large clean rooms, underground parking, friendly employees, formal and casual restaurants with great food and pool/hot tub area. Before kids, during and after kids it was and still is the perfect place for a private, quiet retreat. During kids, the superior room with cot was large enough to comfortably accommodate our 3 children for ski or hiking vacations. Ski packages are available during the ski season which makes it very economical. For housekeeping assistance ask for Colleen. She is the best and has been there for 27 years. For anything else ask for Bob the 25 year veteran of the place. These people we have come to know makes Banff Park Lodge to us as if we were at home.

Room Tip: For in-room spa experience get the deluxe jacuzzi room with tub and a king bed for a relaxing evenin...

We stayed three nights in Banff at the park lodge. First night we were put in a ground floor next to the lobby. The room was good but we were unable to leave a window/sliding door open at night(Security) because it was accessible from the lobby entrance. We had asked for different room on second or third floor and were told none were available. Vacancy sign was on all afternoon and evening after we arrived. ? The next morning the desk was asked again for a room change and it was made by noon. They moved our bags and and had new keys for us when we returned about 1pm. The second room was excellent and the stay was great except for the first night.
The concierge told us of where to eat and what to do and could not have been better. Thanks. Very nice stay overrall. I would recommend it.

Room Tip: 2nd or third floor allows for better comfort and sleep.

We stayed at Banff Park Lodge last August for two nights and enjoyed it so much we have booked again for this September. The room was clean and quiet, we had 2 wonderful nights sleep in the extremely comfortable bed. The location could not be better, just a few minutes walk to shopping, restaurants, theatre, hiking, we hardly had to use our car the whole time we were there! Very good value for money!

Initially I chose this hotel for its lower price and its location ( near the river and not on the Main Street of town). It turned out to be a perfect choice. The room was large, clean and quiet, with a comfortable bed. We slept well here for 3 nights. The hotel had a casual restaurant upstairs where the staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful - perhaps the best we encountered on our 12-day trip in the area. The breakfasts were excellent, particularly the "Healthy Breakfast" with a shot of freshly juiced carrot and ginger, large bran muffin, house-made muesli , and large platter of fresh fruits. Delicious! We also enjoyed house-made soups in the evenings. Our room had a convenient small refrigerator.

The hotel was only a short block from other restaurants and two short blocks from the busy Banff Avenue. We could walk along the Bow River Pathway in the mornings and easily walk anywhere we wanted to go near town, even to the Gondola ride. The float trip company picked us up at the hotel, Nestor's Market was nearby, as were the post office and the Whyte Museum.

Another convenience was the coin laundry on each floor, although a bit of dusting of the walls and pipes to remove lint would match the cleanliness of the rest of the hotel.
We'd definitely stay here again.
